So fast forward to FA decision.

Assume the worst and that they allow Allam to change the name, what happens to CTWD?

What I'm trying to understand is does this issue ever have closure even after the name gets changed?

The high profile members of CTWD will be labeled as awkward customers and no business can be ordered the deal with awkward customers.
So expect the senior members to be removed from the customer data base.

I'm not a "senior member" of CTWD but if the name changes I will remove myself from the Hull Tigers database as I will have no interest in that business and will not be attending their games. I will probably remain a CTWD member to keep abreast of any news.

I think whether people decide to go or not will be the decision of the individual.

I imagine if it is changed then CTWD become even more relevant and then focus their efforts on restoring the name.

John Walkington, are you suggesting that the club would remove CTWD members from the database? If so, I'm convinced you are wrong.

Maybe we can all forget about it start talking about football and get on with each other again.

It's obviously still going to be active. It's in the name, City Till We Die. It doesn't just stop.

wum!

it took long enough to get out of humberside and back into east yorkshire. long memories around here.

And then, of course, there is the question of what happens if AA is refused the name-change?

Fez - simples, Allam moves the stadium to Melton (or North Ferriby) and changes the name a la Wimbledon when they became the MK Dons (Milton Keynes - location and Dons due to the history of Wimbledon) so Melton (location) and Tigers (the history of the club)

The campaign will continue until it's been successful.

And it will be successful, even if it takes until a new chairman arrives, as no-one else would continue with this nonsense.

If Mr Allam gets his wish, i'm sure the majority of the CTWD campaigners won't be at the KC next season, through their own doing rather than some pathetic ban issued by our chairman.

So the campaign won't be at the ground.

There will not be a perfect outcome. But here is a senerio for you.

FA says no.
Assem Allam say's

that he cannot invest money in something that he does not think has a future.
He stays as the owner, no more money get invested and we struggle to be competitive as we have to sell our best players to keep the club going.
The TV money is mortgaged and he gets his money back. He sells the training grounds and after year four the plug is pulled.

Portsmouth or Coventry you choose.

If, and it's a big if, Mr. Allam is given permission to change the name of Hull City AFC to some tacky pseudo American title I can't see CTWD just waving a white flag.If he gets his way surely it would be possible at some time in the future to reverse that change.

On any Melton move it would be interesting to see how Mr Allam would finance this. I presume he would want a stadium with a 25k-30k capacity, not cheap to build, he could I suppose make a stadium the hub of some sort of business/retail park but with the level of investment required even with partners it would be quite a gamble.I may be mistaken but I was under the impression that there is some covenant on the allotments or some other land at Ferriby which prevents any expansion of the ground.

If Allam wins I guess at least a couple of thousand fans would no longer go.
The problem is the majority of them fans are the one who travel away, who sing at home games who for me care more about the club than most others.

It would leave a very quite KC with not many fans sat in the new home kit I can't see any positives at all?

If he loses he is not going to be happy and may sell up?
But just because you have a few quid shouldn't guarantee you get your own way all the time.

Perfect scenario we keep our name and an investor sees the fantastic passion shown by fans as a positive embraces our history and name sits at the table with the council regarding the KC development and Allam goes back to making generators.

That could quite easily have been the Good 'Doctor', if he hadn't painted himself into a corner.

It could still happen - I'm sure CTWD and co would be more than willing to (try and) work with him for the benefit of the club. Mind you, he'd need to both perform a considerable U-turn and get some decent PR.....
