Never see the end of Rooneys overhead kick, but this was just as good. So awesome!
My son raved about the Rooney one, and refused to believe me when I told him "I've seen Rory Delap do that".
He was a good lad Rory. The price tag at Saints, always counted against him with some fans. Couple of times, decent runs in the team were halted by injuries, so it was always stop/start.

Yep, and I told my boy that too. He certainly controlled the shot every bit as much as Rooney did, if not more so.
Everyone raved about Rooney's because it was by Wayne Rooney. Simple. That goal by Delap was just as good!
I was there for that goal. Was the winner in a 1-0 victory over Spurs too if I haven't lost my marbles.
...... strangely I was at OT for Rooney`s goal (blagged freeby from work), at the same end next to the Citeh fans.
