Seems pretty sleazy don't you think? I'd prefer "Food Service Executive" or "Consumable Delivery Specialist" myself.

I get the point, but I've never heard of most of the euphemisms he cites. I suppose it's worse in America.

 

Hawker is a lovely old word for salesman. Now sounds like someone clearing their throat.

I always associate hawk as in there's a chap round the corner 'hawking his wares' as more of a shady selling practice rather than 'salesperson'. lol
