The players need to take some responsibility for this too.

I think the beyond negative posters on here also need to stop patting themselves on the back, this is hardly a victory. And "be careful what you wish for" comes to mind until we find who we are getting next... and of course a few bad results to start with and it starts all over again.

"Hopefully Levy is next. Is not just AVB. The problem extends much higher up."

Then Sherwood ?? Uncle Joe ??

Is Phil Brown still on the market?

Failing that, surely Avram will be on the shortlist <laugh>

Interesting proposal (knew nothing of him) .
Even so, I assume he is not an English speaker (ie another possible Ramos) .

Id love to get Simeone but very much doubt it.

This is a sad day for Spurs. I echo Vimhawk and will say this is no victory for the 'AVB out' brigade.

Levy better be taking a good long look at himself too.

    "How about Rafa?"

    Benitez is a decent manager.
But he has done his time in the PL (does he really need the grief or ingratitude therein anymore ?? ) .

Those points are worth taking into consideration.

But If I were a Spurs fan I would love Rafa to come in - for all his craziness, he's a very very astute manager, know's the league, etc etc.

Too soon, in my opinion but AVB can only blame himself for this one. Against Fulham Holtby came off the bench and scored the winner, against Sunderland he was arguably our best player, against Anzhi(I know) he scores again and plays well... and then he's dropped for Liverpool. I know he didn't exactly set the World alight when he came on but the decision was still inexplicable.

Anyway, I still like him and wish him all the best in the future, I'm sure he could got to Spain or Germany and do a good job but I wouldn't be surprised if he spends a couple of seasons at Porto to regroup.

'Lord' Sugar is advocating putting Ferdinand and Sherwood in charge for the foreseeable. <doh>

I think you will go for Guss Hiddink. Would make sense and he is not adverse to doing a short term step in role.

No thanks. Boring football, strange rotation policy and substitutions, we've just had all that with AVB, I don't think we'll go for it again.

None of us are feeling any sense of a victory. A sense of relief that we don't have to witness such crap football.
The Levy faction should admit they were so wrong in there constant support of the man who would take us to the next level.

I agree, with Levy in charge it,s pot luck if he is capable of making the right decision.
The true rot is at the top of the club.

Thats just stats. Our play was dull, even when we won. I can't remember the last time we won in the league by more than a goal, it hasn't been very often under AVB.
I thought he would come good, i was wrong. The last month or so has just been awful.
