What's utterly unforgivable if that our striking predicament has been with us for around 4 seasons, now. My fellow Spurs fans so easily forget that season when our three top strikers - Defoe, Crouch, and Pav - barely managed to reached double figures between them. Defoe got roundly booed by the Spurs faithful for trying to reveal some twattish tee-shirt he was wearing under his jersey to celebrate some personal milestone of his, because the goal he did it with was only about his 3rd that season. He was ****e then, he's still ****e; and the only thing that has changed is that Levy has paid good hard cash to buy someone who is even worse than Pav was. It's an utter farce, and one that wouldn't look out of place on stage in the West End.
Humm. I thought you wouldn't do as well this year as it took time for the new players to settle in. Didn't expect this though. Something is definitely foul. You have too much quality to lose like this repeatedly, and so badly too. Very strange.
If you play with one tactic (a high defensive line) - teams like West Ham are always gonna hammer you. For a far superior team than Spurs, like we are, it was simply a practice match.
Stop making excuses, Suarez gave your new strikers a five game head start to bed in and now we're without Sturridge, but our two kids from the youth squad are only a few goals behind the entire Spurs team after today so its all good innit.
This cant all be blamed on the manager. The fans were incredibly fickle and didnt help their team get motivated to get back into the game. Spurs made massive signings over the summer, but they dont seem to ba able to integrate them aswell as they should perhaps such a long term history of mediocrity means that the club as a whole doesnt have the mentality to make the most of such talented players?
I hate to say it but I this could be our year! we are in 2nd, had luis out for 5 games, weeks without ford and now studge and gerrard and still hammering teams without really hitting fluid form as a unit, if arsenal hit a patch of bad form over the Xmas period it could be title sewn up for us by February.
Losing 3-0 at home to West Ham. Losing 6-0 away at City. Losing 5-0 at home to "loserpool". It just must be the ref!
Not a chance. Arsenal, £ity and Chavs are all way better than you, with or without Goofy. And then you have United and Everton (and us, despite today's result) fighting you for 4th.
Lets not forget the best owner in the premier league™ hired Franco Baldini to sign all these players and they aren't actually AVB's signings.
Quite an optimistic lad you are. Would be a miracle if you managed to finish at least 10th. You lot are piss poor. The worst GD of all top 11 sides. You don't deserve to be anywhere in the top half. All those ridiculously lucky penalty wins early on, means you still only 6 points of 4th. Which is truly shocking. But there is no way in hell you finishing anywhere above 10th place.
Where's the delusion? Our feet are firmly on the ground and we're gunning for a top 4 spot. HIAG you're the deluded one
This thread has gone off topic somewhat. It's not here for posters to discuss how crap Spurs is, at the present, but to discuss the rampant delusion of Mousers. Even now - gone midnight, as I write this - Merseyside will be rocking to the strains of Cilla and Holly Johnson, with Mousers spending their giros on flat beer and warm cider. This has got to stop!
It amuses me, Ziggy, which is a right bonus given that there isn't much fun to be had at the moment, being a Spurs fan.
