Jose very calm and realistic about this season
Jose very calm and realistic about this season
This interview is actually very reassuring.
This guy knows exactly whats happening with the squad and can see the flaws.
I am certain now more than ever that City will win the title this season, we will come 2nd or 3rd.
Give Jose January and then the summer to sort this squad out, and, at the risk of sounding like a dipper......Next year will be our time.
for the same reason, IMHO this year will be our time.

Admire your optimism but think our team and squad is too unbalanced
This
we need a new spine, I said in another thread the other day, a new CB, new CM and a new CF.
At the moment we just have way too many attacking midfielders.
Also still think Luiz was better in midfield. Thats the one thing Rafa got spot on.
If Man City sort out their problems on the road then the titles theirs! If they continue as they have been, then we surely must get top spot!
That's where I'd be starting as well EC, think we missed a good one with Sjneider, he'd get this lot running smoothly. We have just one cog in the middle of the wheel that's slipping, the right midfielder will make a huge difference to the front men and the back end. In retrospect, how good was Ballack !!! Didn't run the show, but he was the glue that held everything together. But Rafa dropped luiz from midfield bar one more try after we lost to Everton and he had a stinker.
Not saying luiz would not work in CM, just would reserve judgement until he has played regular games there.
We need a ready made proven pivot man, whether creative Pirlo type or more abrasive Schweinstiger type. We've been looking for three years now and four managers now. It is becoming a joke

Superb Ballack, especially adjusting to a new position to accommodate Lamps.
Some chelsea fans stupidly got on his back for being too casual. And when he rarely played further up, he delivered too.
Wouldn't sneijder be another AM to accommodate at the expense of mata or oscar? Don't we need someone deeper[/QUOTE]
Definately.
Not sure who would fit this role these days, as I dont watch a great deal of foreign footy nowadays.
Who are considered the best DMs in Europe these days? And more importantly, which one could be tempted to come to the Bridge?

Alonso.
Alonso.
Wanted him, hopefully for Jan but with Khedira injured, that went from unlikely to zero
