Dong - As good as you were today, Spurs were ****ing awful. & the game was still definitely on before he red card, so keep a sense of perspective mate We won 4-1 yesterday & were ****ing crap for half the game
If we lost they would have been 1 point ahead, unless you're deliberately implying he would mistake their lead
It was 2-0 and a deserved red card. They had zero shots on target in the 63 minutes before he was sent off. Put that in perspective.
Keeping things totally in perspective. We're BOTH candidates for top four. Don't forget two things about today - it was a sending-off, and when it was two-nil we should have already have been four up anyway. IF Spurs had have scored before the sending-off we may have seen a Spurs revival: but we'd have been talking about how the hell Liverpool threw it away when they should have been out of sight.
1826: Tottenham 0-5 Liverpool Andre Villas-Boas Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas: "It was difficult after the sending off. We said at half-time a goal would put us back in the game. The third goal was the killer and ruled our confidence out. "I think the sending off is a bit unfair. I think a yellow card was more appropriate that was the key moment in the game." Sorry feller it was difficult before AND after the sending off and the red card was deserved, he put his foot into Suarez's chest and was facing away when the contact was made, intentional and cynical.
I love how when a team gets thrashed it was because they were rubbish and never because the winning team were very good and made them look that way. All the talk was about their midfield dominating our weakest position but from the off we kept hold off the ball and looked dangerous. Spurs had no answer to Henderson's late runs and just don't have a Coutinho type player to link their midfield with Soldado. Overall every player was 10/10 today for me, apart from Mig who gets deducted a point for his shocking touch which Soldado's goal was luckily ruled out from.
Judging by this week's results . Liverpool and the 2 Mancs are neck to neck in terms of firing power .
His punch to Soldado was also a bit dodgy. Fortunately Soldado is like Pavlov's dog and needs the ref to blow the whistle before he can shoot on target.
Just been on R5l chatting with Ian Wright. He agrees we got to keep believing that we can win it and just keep going - leave the pressure on Chelsea and City and if we are still there come Easter - go for it knowing that we are good enough!
Soldaldo's goal was "rightly" ruled out. It wasn't shoulder to shoulder, see the tackle again, he got shoved in the back. In the words of Journey, "Don't stop believing!" #cornyiknow #dontgiveaphuck
Get some perspective yourself. Not only were you crap for half the game but you were playing s side in danger of relegation already and you were AT HOME. We played AWAY against a side that would have been 1 point behind us if they had won. We won 0-5. So excuse me but I'll get back to my celebrating!
We were great today - I honestly couldn't see a performance like that from us today so extremely proud of the lot of them! Special mention to hendo who was sublime today and where has that sterling been? He was on one today! Suarez... What else is there to say about this genius? What a beautiful Sunday afternoon, loved every minute of that!!
