Im really skeptic about Lucas starting. He's done well against teams we should be beating, but i can't recall the last time he had a good game against a good side. He was piss poor against Arsenal, His poor positioning is thoroughly exposed against the better sides.

If Hendo was fit, would have preferred him starting along with Allen in midfield and Coutinho or Alberto ahead.

Hope we come away with three points or atleast a draw.

Rodgers was always going to put both Aspas and Alberto on the bench as otherwise he had no cover whatsoever! I really don't see the reason for this Lucas bashing.

I try not to admit it to anybody but until is mathematically impossible i still harbour belief every year. Even when it mathematically impossible i still pray for a corruption scandal which sees the teams above us docked 50 points each. Leaving us with a clear run and a smugness that we were the only honest team.

I'll be brutally honest with you, I think Lucas is a fairly average DM and has zero positional sense. He needs to be more aware of where the opponents are and stick to his zone. You watch a player like Busquets, and you see his head swivel like an owl, constantly being aware of where the opponents are and anticipating moves. In contrast I rarely see Lucas watch over his shoulders.

He's like a school boy attracted to where ever the ball is. Thus leaving huge gaps behind him. He really has to improve his positioning.
