I'm not surprised but think it is very harsh. He was excellent last year, have little or no budget in the window and started the season well. Obviously the bad run of only 1 win in their last 10 and 4 losses on the bounce has been enough to pull the trigger. Funny though that "other" managers have cling to their jobs with equally bad results in the past!

Like I say, harsh but I am not surprised.

you get sick of hearing Hughes haters on here to be honest, im more than happy with what he has done since he has been here.

I like the style of play that we now have. It is much better to watch and is enjoyable. On Final Score we are always getting compliments about playing good, watchable football. Despite this I still see people saying "Excited about MOTD tonight, apart from the Stoke game like normal" <doh> (due to the TP affect on our club!) Haha, that's why were first last week <whistle>

The board were thinking that they were playing FIFA on their PS3!
Couldn't believe that they sacked him, I thought he would at least last the rest of this season, especially after finishing 8th last season and drawing 5-5 with Man U on the last day of the season. Continuity is what makes a club good e.g. Man U.

Still a shocking departure.

I've gotten into a very bad habit of tuning into MOTD 20 minutes late (no real interest in watching Suarez fall over then blame it on "the negroes"). Last week I nearly had a heart attack, then had to rewind back to the beginning. Have we ever been on first before?!

As for Steve Clarke, I read that the Baggies owner is rather ruthless so it is perhaps no surprise but extremely harsh. They have had a bad run recently but Clarke is a good coach and probably would have turned things around. I do wonder sometimes what fans and club owners expect. WBA weren't going to finish in the top spots and a mid-table or top half would be what they and the likes of Stoke could realistically expect at best.
