Yes, but still Naughton over Rose is weakening us. It's our depleted defence against your depleted midfield. I hope winning the midfield battle will stop our makeshift defence being under pressure, but we will be vulnerable to the counter attack.
Well we have a depleted attack without Sturridge backed up by a weakend already weak to start off with midfield. At the back we miss Enrique as well at lb How many players from lastnight you expecting to start?
Holtby, Dembele and either Naughton or Rose. Possibly Soldado and Capoue, if Vlad doesn't recover. Between 3 and 5.
Calm it. I do like reading the opposition's opinion on the game so I went for a look. The more petulant reaction on your board got deleted so maybe you missed it. Anyway, I'll leave it there as I'm still laughing at being called bitter by a Liverpool fan!
You appear more bitter than us. A normal conversation taken out of context in order to have a pop at us. How pathetic.
It wasn't out of context. THFC6061 posted a record of our ongoing good form in Europe to which the response was that he was an idiot for posting it on the mighty Liverpool board as you've won the European Cup more times than anyother English club. The response actually took nothing away from what was posted by THFC6061 it was just jumped on as another excuse to go on about history that no one else really cares about. I don't know anyother set of fans that do it. I'm sure Forest fans don't point to their trophies everytime a fan from another Championship club mentions something positive about their club. Liverpool fans have a well earned reputation for being bitter about other teams doing better than them and living in the past. When it was United winning the league you were quick to point out how you'd won more league titles and now that's not the case you go on about their poor start to the season. We'd all feel bad for you struggling to cope with not being one of the best clubs in the league anymore if you didn't act like such babies about it.
This thread is going to be a very interesting place on Sunday evening. More so than it normally is. All I ask of you Mousers is, if you lose, please don't bang on about your past glories, just accept the defeat and move on from it. And if you win... again, please don't bleat on about your past glories. And which ever way it goes, please, no unnecessary wumming. That's not what this thread is about.
Aren't Spurs going for a magnificent seven straight wins at WHL v Liverpool? Not even the current Utd team could be that bad. When Liverpool fans stop eulogising about Suarez, they'll realise that you need a defence to compete at the top level. Theirs is still as dodgy as last season - especially away from home.
You do more rabbiting about our history than anyone else, maybe you should apply for a job on LFC.tv.
Why not? He's an exceptional player. But I think he can be marked out of the game away from home - as Hull did to their credit and then the emphasis is on controlling midfield and defending. Without Gerrard and with a questionable defence, I make Spurs favourites.
Spurs are always favourites against us at the Lane, our record there has never been that great. But never say never eh Luke.
