I somehow stumbled on this forum a little while ago and enjoy the 'feel' of the place, and it's, for the most part, lack of antgonistic hostility so prevalent on some of the other forums.

I have really enjoyed reading members views and opinions, and in particular I look forward to Stick's posts, but it appears that there may be a couple of jealous 'trolls' who would like him to stop posting and I very much hope they haven't been responsible for his lack of posts in recent days ?

His strike rate has been superb, and he has been generous enough to have shared snippets of information with us, and I'm sure I'm not alone, in hoping to see you back very soon. . . . . (particularly now Stick, just before Christmas !)

I can't comment on other forums as I don't go there. When you are with the best, why bother with the rest?

As for Stick's absence - well he was here Saturday, so it's hardly a "where is Lord Lucan" scenario.

There has been some sniping at Stick in recent weeks, but the nasty ones are humanely euthanised, whilst the less aggressive are put in their place by other posters.

Mr Stick has long been a part of this forum's success, and if he HAS taken a break, then he would have left us all the richer, both financially and socially. I'm sure that all of us will be benefitting from Stick's wisdom again in due course.

You could do worse than follow MY tips. But not a LOT worse <laugh>

I doubt very much that stick would be driven away by "a couple of jealous trolls". Business commitments, holidays etc all contribute to being unable to post for periods. Also I think stick would let me know if he had decided to leave the forum. As you say "Flobble" it is a very friendly forum devoid of any major disturbances, and so it will remain. We are all looking forward to seeing stick's posts, especially when his mare is due to run again.

Both QPR fans are on here???? I'm shocked!!

Although to be fair they still outnumber the BWFC by two to one!

Probably just busy. I reckon he will be back Saturday for 'The New One'. He's a grown man, I'm sure the trolls don't bother him much, if at all.

It takes a lot of skill to be a QPR fan. So I'll not have a word said against any of us.

Dead right, Bustino, we are a skilful lot. Used to take great skill and daring to cycle from Kingston to Shepherds Bush, park the bike in a front 'garden' in South Africa Road, retrieve the bike (hopefully) after the match, and return home in one piece. My entire family were Chelsea fans, and wanted me certified. Still do, probably.

This post is worthy of about 10 <laugh>s but you can make do with one. Certainly made me chuckle and provoked a fair bit of nostalgia anyway!

Stick's Present Trend is at Towcester on Thursday. If you are looking in stick, good luck.

And Pendra is Ascot on Saturday.

He told me NOT to back it.

Maybe because it wasn't going to win.

Or maybe to avoid the jinx!
