Who do Villa go for next as manager?

Good targets: Mark Hughes, Frank Rijkard, David Moyes, Steve McLaren
Mark Hughes would be my number one - he's got a big future ahead of him and knows how to manage in the Premier League (theres' plenty of talk of him going back to Chelsea - that's the league he is in, and Villa ARE a big club)
Steve McLaren -( successful at Man U and Middlesbrough, and in Holland) - only failure was for England, and with Carson in goal, what chance did we have? - he would probably do a good job at VP.

Bad targets: McLeish (you're having a laugh! two relegations in three years), Martinez (Swansea and Wigan!!), anyone else who hasn't managed a top six premier league club.

Personally, of those who are available, I would go for Mark Hughes. He will take Villa forward, and good players will want to sign for him. Randy needs to move quick though - the clock is ticking!.....

Greetings in peace (my 2 bestest relatives are Villa season ticket holders).

My word of caution to you good folk is that Hughes will only come at a price. Not just his own salary but he will insist on bringing a hoard of his mates. The hangers-on we called them.

On match days at Craven Cottage there were no fewer than 11 (yes eleven) persona in red tracks suits who joined the players in the pre-match warm up. The majority of them, so far as I could see, were just there to collect the balls.

Mate I think your targets are a bit ambitious, villa are not in the same position as they were a couple of years ago( top6 ish). In terms of actual football villa are not a big club( not including fanbase). Your selling all your players and I'm not sure what calibre of player villa can attract and you seem to have stopped spend vast amount of money which is needed to get villa to the place they want to be.

I think mcleish woul do a fantastic job for villa. Everywhere he has went hes tasyed sucess and a dont think that would change. Working with a better quality of player that he has been used to at other teams hes managed. Just give him a chance he will bring silverware to villa.
