The thrill outweighs the danger until you come off and break your neck. No one ever thinks it will happen to them.

Here's a subject perfectly suited to Beefy. It is witty, entertaining, carries a thoughtful message, and the messenger is someone most people find either amusing or hilarious. So, rant away David. :) :

Oh I'm perfectly aware it could happen, and I make damn sure it doesn't. I just don't wrap myself up in cotton wool. Besides, if everyone who could, rode bikes there would be less accidents, less traffic, fewer traffic jams, less pollution, fitter people. Don't get me started.

I've watched every one of his little Soapbox videos many times. They're always good - hopefully there'll be more coming soon, it's been a while.

Or you ride like a total moron , some total innocent hits you and is mortified ( and immediately blamed ) .

" Sorry mate I didn't see you . But if you weren't driving like a complete ***t I might have had a chance ( and so might you ) "...........

Ah, I see we're doing the cheap isolation of the rare idiot motorcyclist as an example of every biker out there. The other week it was cyclists, today it is motorcyclists. Of course every car driver has 20/20 vision, drives exactly to the highway code and motorcyclists just slam themselves into vehicles with gay abandon because 1] they are all lunatics, every last single diminishing number of them 2] They are all blind, 3] They love being injured or dying and making their loved ones forever sad.

    Do get a grip people.

Really not in the mood for your holier than though attitude at the moment TSS .

Nowhere did I say car drivers are perfect NOWHERE !!!!!

Mine was an example & yes I do know someone who it happened to ( the Driver ) . We all know you think because you are a BIKE RIDER , you think you are better than us mere car driving mortals, with more than just ourselves and our MASSIVE ego's to transport ( does your ego ride pillion ) ? .

    So please DO ONE !

I don't think that at all. I'm a car driver too. If I get on my pedestal to ram in the point [I do apologise No1J] it's when people tell me I should play my life safe just because I've pointed out a slightly more exciting, different thing to do.

    BTW, I like the Stratos.

    LTL, is it [My Titles]..?

The Little Book of British Lay-byes

    or

Ingenious Recipes from the Exhaust Manifold

Both of which were ideas of mine years ago, which people laughed away so hard I was put off and now people have written books about these very subjects. They sell quite well too. There are several books on exhaust manifold meals these days.

I'm still thinking about writing a book on European lay-byes because they are so much bigger and more accommodating than ours.

I drive a car and ride a push bike. I am fairly sure that at least 50% of motorists are totally inconsiderate morons, and 25% are just plain assholes.

I see this every morning when I do the school run. They want to pull over were they feel like, no indicating... I see this EVERY day!

And I've lost count of the amount of times I've nearly been knocked off my push bike, and I ride with lights and a hi vis jacket.
