and the amount leeds would accept would be far more than lambert will be willing to pay, as it will be way above the odds because leeds don't want to sell.

Still leaves the ball in OUR court as Lambert could offer it if he decided he wanted Snodgrass at any cost. I agree though, I don't think Lambert wants him enough to make the required offer. He's good, but not THAT good!

At L1/Championship level I agree. Untried at prem level which reduces the realistic amount that prem clubs are likely to offer.

It will be interesting to see how he applies himself next season should there be a number of refused bids for him made by prem clubs. Not sure about the Norwich bid, but should one come in from a more established Prem side would it unsettle him?

However much he feels for Leeds, a footballers career is short and could potentially end at any time (injury). All players want to make the premier league at the earliest opportunity even if it means signing for a side likely to be relegated as it is a year in the biggest shop window in the world.

And he more than held his own against Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal and Man U when we've faced them over the last couple of seasons, he's a Premiership-quality player in my opinion.

Thats 4 games in 2 years. really doesn't compare to having to do it week in week out. You are right, he did well in those games, but my point remains, he is untried at prem level. The whole Leeds team did well in those games, I doubt that Leeds same team would survive in the prem.

He stood out. OK he's not proven, but tearing up League One and the Championship plus those games and the constant interest in him from Premiership clubs over the last two seasons strongly suggests that he is Premiership standard.

I never said he wasn't, only the fact that as he has not been tried there yet that will limit the amount a prem club would consider investing in him. To be honest, that does Leeds a favour as if Bates is determined he will not let him go cheaply then it means he stays. On the downside, if Leeds are not a prem club in 2 years time the Snodgrass would most likely walk away for nothing. Bit of a gamble, but if I were Bates then I would consider it a worthwhile one.

Much rather have Hoolahan to be honest. Far better player that will shine in the Premier League next season.

Different positions, different players. Not a valid comparison.

Hoolahan is capable of playing on the wing (which he has), just like Snodgrass is capable of playing in the middle (which he has).

    Really quite similar players.

Snodgrass has played in the middle for 90 minutes less than five times.

Look, if Snodgrass was a better player than Hoolahan, we wouldn't be having this conversation as you would of just laughed and said he isn't.

Hoolahan and Snodgrass are similar players. Hoolahan could play in Snodgrass' position well, just like Snodgrass would do well in the hole behind the strikers, regardless of how many times they've actually played there.

No-one rates Hoolahan above Snodgrass other than Norwich fans.

Snodgrass is a great player and Hoolahan is a great player.

If another team offered £3.5 to £6m for Hoolahan we would turn it down, just like Leeds have/ wld for Snodgrass. Lambert was probably hoping to unsettle Snodgrass the way he unsettled Morrison and CMS. The fact is Snodgrass doesn't seem that interested so Norwich would have to pay well over the odds. Thats not going to happen so the club have moved on. Shouldn't we?

Nah lol Snodgrass will be a Leeds player next season I assure you. If I was scared I wouldn't say it so damn much and risk being quoted and looking a fool on here, would I?
