So much talk about weight limits, double points, test dates and power trains :emoticon-0107-sweat But we don't know how good or bad the tyres will be yet either! 2014 is going to be full of constant moaning from teams I feel.

Another idea floating around is to ban pit radio's and just use pit boards. I can see the good and bad points to this so can't really decide what I think lol.

I actually sort of like that idea, sometimes it feels like the team are driving the car, not the driver. However I'd only stop team-to-car radio, I think it's good that drivers can tell their team things

I like how it will stop drivers driving to deltas and let them race their own race but I do wonder if it'll mean some drivers will luck out if something happens that the teams can see on the data but the driver cant yet feel.

I see where you're coming from, but drivers should be able to feel these things on their car. I'd prefer that to nearly all drivers being told, use KERS on this corner, keep a second gap etc

yeah theres probably far more positives than negatives and the negatives with regard to luck (potential safety car pit etc) will even out over the season.

We should run F1
What I don't get is they say these rule changes are to satisfy us as the fans? Who are these fans who want these crazy rules because they deserve a black eye... What happened to these Fans question events too? are these rules the result of them?

Fantastic.

No longer have to listen to Vettel's pre-meditated winning speeches to team.

yes boys, yes boys, ye.... ah shut up

Sebastian Vettel and new Ferrari team-mates Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen will sit out Formula 1's forthcoming Pirelli tyre test in Bahrain.

Ferrari confirmed instead that F1 development driver Pedro de la Rosa will share driving duties over the three days with Ferrari Driver Academy member - and Marussia race driver - Jules Bianchi.

While three of this year's championship top five will therefore not take part, Mercedes is expected to attend with both Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

Red Bull has not yet announced who will drive its car in the test, but AUTOSPORT understands Vettel with not attend.

Toro Rosso is also yet to reveal its plans.

Little odd but each to their own.

With Mclaren not attending and both RB and Ferrari not providing front running drivers (obviosly Webber is not competing but even if he was I doubt he would have attended) it would appear that they dont feel they will get much from it.

Are they allowed to use the new powertrains or is it in the existing formula that they take part?
