Safety point was 40 points - supposed magical marker
There is no science but my personal belief is that there are more teams in the mix for Champions League spaces this season (Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Everton, Man U an Man C) than ever before. These have more to play for and thus should be more up to taking points off the bottom teams.
We need to take points off our peers. It is no good us taking points off the Top 10 in reality (although any point gained is great) at the expense of getting points off those who are in the mix with us at the bottom. Think back to the recent Liverpool / Palace games - we got the points in the wrong game in reality
