My brother talked me into buying a mac book pro (yes I've turned to the dark side) and I have to say it's been a breath of fresh air, very expense though.

No matter what make, model, brand, etc you will always find somebody that's had a bad / good experience with it. Its a bit like moving to a new area or buying a new car, everyone has an opinion <ok>
