I see the pictures, the first thing that went into my head was wow at least he put pictures up this time.
Was also tempted to rest one of Mert or Kos, but thought better of it. Flamini and Arteta should give us a strong defensive shape in midfield, so can't see us letting in three goals if those two start.
Wenger did make a good point, that when it comes to CB's it's not as exhausting as other positions, it's more about good concentration in those positions. I'd be tempted to rest Ozil with Rosicky in his place, and rather than Walcott out wide, have Gnarby, I want as fresh a team possible for the Mancity game, so would be good if none of Ozil, Walcott, Cazorla, or Ramsey playing on Wednesday leaving them fully fresh for Saturday's lunch time kick off, would give Walcott 20 minutes though VS Napoli, and then finally start him VS City. If we could also have Sagna back for City, that'd be fantastic.
Theo seems to be being eased in very slowly. I absolutely would have started him against Everton. Wonder why Wenger is being so cautious?
Some news about the other game in our group between OM and Dortmund. The Germans have a massive injury list, and are missing most of their first choice defence and are also missing the likes of Bender and Sahin in midfield. OM have finally sacked the useless Elie Baup, so maybe they might not be as **** now.
After the slight setback over the weekend, I'd rest Ramsey and Ozil for this one. They should be on the bench. Rosicky and Wilshere to start.
I'd like to see gnabry play, but seeing as he didn't even make the bench last game that seems unlikely
Don't underestimate Napoli at home. I'd rather be drawing at 65 with the first team & take players off, than play a weak team & be 3 down having to step up & save the game. Arsenal can play to frustrate Napoli, but should play a strong team. I'd start Monreal, & Theo if fit as his pace will force them to sit deeper & he's deadly on the counter.
Chez/Flappy Jenkinson Kos Verm Nacho Flamini Arteta Rosicky Theo Giroud Gnabry Subs Chez/Flappy, BFG, Gibbs, SJW, Rambo, Ozil, Pod (if fit)/Santi
I think it might be the nature of the injury which Theo suffered, abdominal injuries are really hard to predict (in my experience anyway) in that they can feel completely fine (after a period of time), and then when you exert yourself over a certain limit, hurt like ****. Or maybe I just have a stupid body, but that's what I experienced in any case. Anyway, team for this game would be Woj Jenks Mertesacker Koscielny Monreal Flamini Arteta Gnarby Rosicky Cazorla (tbh, wouldn't play him against City, the form he's in) Giroud The defence and 2 holding mids should be enough to ensure we don't lose by 3, and the front 4 should have the quality to nab a goal, first is important this year for the Champions league, but not as important as getting a draw at city I think. Really need a minimum of 5 points from the games against Everton, City and Chelsea to be in a strong position I think. Means that Walcott, Ozil, Wilshere and Rambo should all be fresh when they start against City.
Said it in another thread. He was ill last week so not enough training to get match fit. Apparently he wanted to start him against hull.
