I have to say that watching Huddlestone and Livermore dominate Liverpool`s ‘title challenging’ midfield today was an absolute joy to behold.

A tough game for 'Pool, tonight. Not really sure which way this one will go.

Well, in the end, 'Pool managed to scrape a very lucky win. Had it not been for Goofy - their one-man team - I think Norwich could have shaded that.

When they lose their morals and become accepting of a racist, violent cheat. Nah only kidding, clubs don't need scruples these days so long as a player can kick a ball. Most clubs and fans would happily take a resurrected Jimmy Saville in their team so long as he's a good player![]()
And Stuart Hall.![]()
I'm thinking, though, that us Spurs fans have more dignity than that.
I like to think that too, but the one problem is Luis Suarez has scored the same number of league goals as our entire team, in less games.
On this topic (Goofy, not Jimmy Saville), I note that Roy is already starting to panic by saying that 'Pool is "perfect" for Goofy. Notice how a once-great club like 'Pool has got to be good enough to appease the player, not the other way round - Shankley's ghost will be pulling its hair out.
So, Roy doesn't think that Real Madrid would be just as "perfect" for Goofy? Or PSG? Or any team that is actually going to win something?
Goofy will be looking at Arsenal and saying to himself, "**** me! If I was playing for them boys, we'd walk the league and the CL, plus I'd be able to continue the diving-traditions of Henry and Bergkamp with almost impunity!"
And he'd be right. Ergo, Arsenal would be more "perfect" for Goofy than 'Pool.
Still, if Roy wants to piss all over the once glorious reputation that 'Pool held among Europe's elite clubs by pandering to the inflated ego of one player, and if the Mousers are prepared to have a lot of that piss splash over their shell-suits, that's entirely up to them, I suppose.
