That was the year Jenson Button won the F1 world championship I think, wasn't it?

There you go. Bloody ridiculous. Personally, I'd stop making it a public vote, then it wouldn't automatically go to the person who most people know, whether they were outstanding in their sport or not. Then again, if they did that, the popularity of the show would diminish. I don't bother to watch it in any case for the very reason that these stupid situations occur.

I wonder who Team of the Year will be..?

David Healy retires from football.

Damn. Scorer of so many goals for us, against top class opposition too. Genuine NI legend, the kind of player we could do with right now :(

Enjoyed that. Excellent poaching by David Healy. He went through a long golden period during his career when his confidence was soaring and he scored for fun. A young Steve Davis was giving a good account of himself too, as were former Saints, Chris Baird and Maik Taylor. Couldn't spot anybody else there.

Going to damn bored intil near Xmas now. No work and not being able to go out after next week is ****.

I had forgotten all about Healy. Great goalscorer and some nice goals in that video. Thanks.

Never have I been more grateful for the ease of online shopping then at Christmas. One of them. One of them. Click. Click. Pay. Done. Thank you very much. Town at Christmas is a horrible experience. Worse then usual I mean.

Yep. High street shopping can **** off at this time of year. It's cold, busy and a generally miserable experience.

There are still two birthdays in my family between now and Christmas. And I need to get paid. It seems I have no choice but to leave Christmas shopping until late.

I'm all done! Feeling massively smug about it as well. Normally do it on Christmas eve, but having a girlfriend this year she has got me organised!

Good luck leaving it late Joe :1980_boogie_down:

My most successful bout of Christmas shopping was to leave everything until Christmas Eve, go to the pub for 3 hours at lunchtime, and then buy everything I needed in less than an hour. And everyone loved what I got them, before you ask.

Even my edible shopping is. It's a pain in the arse to walk to Tesco and lug hundreds of bags back, I can afford the £4 a week to my door.

I would do it too but I'm particular about the quality of fresh food. I prefer taste over how round an apple is or how straight a banana is, and I prefer to do my own squeezing of vegetables and fruit to determine freshness or when I need to eat something. It kind of means I don't shop at Tesco or get another professional shopper to do it for me.

I thought you had a newly delivered Sony PS4..? You were raving about it a few days ago. Now you get your chance to play it to your heart's content. This is your chance..!

You can only play so much computer before it gets boring.
