Selling Bale was a huge mistake despite the overinflated price

That's not what the media said though. They told us Spurs would be a better team without Bale and they'd finish above United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Spurs are ****ed without Bale. He hauled their arses out of trouble last season winning them something like 22 points on his own. Without him they would have finished 8th.

A lot of Spuds tried to argue that they would be better without him when they realised he was ****ing off, mistakenly thinking that AVB would rebuild the squad with quality. Not only has he pissed that money up the wall, but he spend another 25m on top of that with extra dross.

    Long live AVB <ok>

DL you should be ashamed of yourself for using the fail to support an argument.

Spurs will be a better team without Bale. <ok>

I can't see it Spurf. People said the same with Ronaldo when he left United.

Your defence is easily top 4 material but the attack isn't. I think you might have bought the wrong striker for what you need. Negredo would have given you more if you're to be less direct in your build up.

Early days but our squad is now stronger than last season. The attack has not worked but not because of the quality of the players more the tactics and lack of cohesion, plus importantly the time it takes for most players to adjust to the PL. Sandro, Modric, both took some time to adapt. I fully expect this squad to come good and give some serious competition to the likes of Chelsea etc. <ok>

No idea!, but today was more promising, so there is still hope for AVB.

Oh really? Sandro as good as Modders? I don't think so but what you do have there is an expensive blend of mercenaries who haven't gelled.

You're right Sandro is much better. <ok>

Our blend of mercanaries <laugh> Of course they play for Chelsea for the love of it and send all their wages off to charity.

Very poor argument all round <laugh>

They all came for the wages. They certainly didn't come for footballing reasons, unless they like playing on Thursdays!

Those spud mercenaries chose greed > champions league football at other clubs
