Any pics of young Chloe, Mick?

Don't be a **** Ciaran. Go out and buy a candle, light it, take a picture of it, then post it on your Facebook to show the world how much of a kind soul you are.

On a recent trip to Dumfries and the Burns sites, I decided to trek across town from the great man's house to Palmerston, the home of the mighty Queen of the South. By the time I got to the stadium, I was soaked to the bone and utterly frozen. I entered the club shop to buy a pennant for my collection and was soon whisked off to the backroom for a hot drink and a sit down next to the radiator; the assistant was flabbergasted that I had actually taken the time to visit the ground. Once I had dried off and eaten a few biscuits, he arranged for the club's groundsman to drive me back to the town, saving me from another drenching.

Tomorrow, I may just tell you about my trip to Annan Athletic...

The Scots are a much maligned people, but I have always loved the country and its way of life. The manner in which Glaswegians have rallied round and helped each other during this tragedy is a mark of how compassion is still very much alive in this day and age.

Roughly one hundred people were in the Clutha Vaults pub when the helicopter crashed into it around 10.30 on Friday night.

A police spokes person said " thank god it wasn't 10.30 in the morning as there would have been double that figure.

In a statement today the landlord said " i shouldn't have left the landing light on"
