We don't care when it happens to the Oirish and especially don't care when it happens to plastic Oirish.

Can't disagree with what you're saying.

I remember when the earthquake/tsunami in Japan occurred a couple of years back, tens of thousands lost their lives and people on here were cracking jokes right left and centre.

A handful die in a helicopter crash/stadium disaster or whatever and the same people like it not one bit if you make a joke about it. Makes no sense to me (obviously it's different if you personally know anyone involved).

I can't understand what propels people to take the piss out of such tragedies.

On a recent trip to Dumfries and the Burns sites, I decided to trek across town from the great man's house to Palmerston, the home of the mighty Queen of the South. By the time I got to the stadium, I was soaked to the bone and utterly frozen. I entered the club shop to buy a pennant for my collection and was soon whisked off to the backroom for a hot drink and a sit down next to the radiator; the assistant was flabbergasted that I had actually taken the time to visit the ground. Once I had dried off and eaten a few biscuits, he arranged for the club's groundsman to drive me back to the town, saving me from another drenching.

Tomorrow, I may just tell you about my trip to Annan Athletic...

The Scots are a much maligned people, but I have always loved the country and its way of life. The manner in which Glaswegians have rallied round and helped each other during this tragedy is a mark of how compassion is still very much alive in this day and age.

My brother-in-law's son-in-law is a copper and he's been in the chopper a few times, anyway, he knew one of the pilots.

Got to laugh at the beel from some. Most of the beelers were squirting jizz into their own mouths at past human tragedies such as the Jap sue-na-me or when a tortured mind took his own life yet when it's a bit closer to home, they're holding a candle-lit Virgil in honour of those unfortunate enough to be killed or maimed.

You know it would probably not be as bad if the jokes were funny . It's bad enough that the **** above is an ignorant **** but he's also a boring ignorant **** .

Now now Ciaran. At least Tina would have died happy in that pub (pissed and staring at a big chopper).
