Cech

Caesar Ivan JT Bertrand

Rambo Mikel

Eden Mata Schurrle

Nando

Subs: Schwarzer, Cahill, Oscar, Lampard, Willian, KDB, Ba

No Oscar please. Kid has started 4 matches in 11 days - including the friendlies across the pond. No wonder he was jaded against Basel

how is Cahill > Ivan in the CB position?

Looks right to me. Is Luiz injured ?? Ivan is a big problem for me, only because I think he's best at right back IF and it's a big IF, Jose lets him cross the half way mark. Azpi is also a great right back but will be equally neutered by Joses instructions. Why have a bomb forward defender if they are not allowed to bomb forward?? Ivan can play CD, but is a bit iffy I believe. Cahill is just not good enough. Either way, JT and Cahill are too slow to be CDs, Ivan is only a tad quicker. With Luiz looking bound for Barca,Mata for PSG, CD is as big a problem as midfield controller and Striker.

I agree - other than GK position (Atleti kid) we have problem everywhere.
also not sure whether we would be able to replace Luiz & Mata with the money we would make on their sale.

Why is everyone banging on about Luiz and Mata leaving. Have you seen how happy they look on their personal social media channels? People who are enjoying their time at the club do not post pictures of themselves with other team mates having a really good time on a regular basis. When I see either one of them in said teams colours, then will I believe they were unhappy and wanted to leave. From what my own peepers tell me they are ecstatic to be at the club. I challenge anyone to prove otherwise.

even I would be pretty happy on media - if I get paid thousands of pounds weekly and have a wonderful life in London!
literally they are vacationing and getting paid at the same time.

Dont forget Oscar will have had nearly a weeks rest before we take on the Saints!

4 days is now a week's rest?

Chelsea XI: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Essien, Ramires; Mata, Oscar, Hazard; Torres.

confirmed

Essien and Rambo against Wanyama and Schneiderlin, this should be interesting. Hopefully Mata shows us and Jose why he deserves to be the first name on the team sheet.

is this the first time our holy trinity start a game under Jose?
