Despite him being sent off in the 0-0 draw with Rotherham (two yellows in three minutes), Graham Kavanagh has stated that he wants to resign Conor Townsend as soon he possibly can.

It's good to see one of our youngsters being so highly rated at a decent level. If he's doing well, then I say let them have him for the rest of the season because I can't see him breaking into the first team this season. If we were to go down, he'd be handy back up to Dudgeon (I'd assume Figueroa would do one) and it'd be good for his footballing education to stay where he is.

In other news, Sonny Bradley is wanted by several Championship clubs. I still think we made a mistake letting him go, but he needs to be playing first team football so I guess he made the right choice.

Glad to hear it. Wouldn't mind him back. Dudgeon is the new Anthony Gardner and Figgy has been inconsistent at best. Looks a world beater one minute and a pub player the next. Though in fairness at least he's always a solid defender which is first and foremost what we need a defender to be at this level.

He's inconsistent with the ball at his feet would have just been a lot easier to say.

Whats your opinion on Figgy?

Forgot about Dudgeon. Is he out injured again? Bruce was talking about loaning him out not so long ago.

Is he ever not injured?

The thing that makes me chuckle is how badly I got slated in the summer for saying we can't stick out an entire premier league season with dudgeon as our only natural left back. In fact I think OLM was the only other who agreed with me. Bloody good job Brucey saw it the same way eh...

I'm not sure if Dudge is injured or not, he was supposed to be fit by now but he's barely featured (if at all) for even the reserves, so I've no clue on that one. There was talk of him going out on loan to Barnsley, but it doesn't appear to have materialised. A loan in January would be good for him.

But wasn't Sonny Bradley revealed to be a total ****, not welcome at our club.

In other news, it completely passed me by that Joe Cracknell had enjoying a loan spell at Scarborough. He was there to cover an injury to their regular keeper and is back with us now. He got a good write up here...

And I can't not mention that the Scarborough manager is called Rudy Funk. What a cracking name that is. I wanna be called Rudy Funk!

That is one rather magnificent name, I will say.

I like him defensively, but why does he not overlap more? How much better did we look in the first half when he went beyond Boyd and got a couple of balls in. After that i don't think he did it once, so frustrating as he clearly has so much talent.

He looks the part too.

And you may think Rudy Funk is growing that tash a movember tribute to the prostate. But no, facial hair is just how Rudy Funk rolls, 365 days of the year.

I want to be him.

Hmm interesting on Rudy???

"A week after winning the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, Scarborough Athletic players celebrated after their final game yesterday by throwing manager Rudy Funk in the air.
A 2-1 defeat at Glasshoughton Welfare, who gave them the guard of honour before the match, did not matter and Funk received the acclaim he deserves for a wonderful achievement.
Funk has an excellent CV and has created interest in his three clubs that he has managed on the Football Pyramid. He led Rainworth Miners Welfare from obscurity in the Central Midlands to Evo Stik Division One South football in the space of a few years.
He was unable to keep the success going in the NPL and that disappointment will be probably be in his mind when he leads Scarborough next season. He will be out to prove a point.
In West Yorkshire, Funk is a bit of a mystery as no-one knows his football background pre-Rainworth. But everyone knows his name as his media relations appear to be excellent and he has a track record of success. I personally think he is a wonderful ambassador for Non-League football.

From Romania!! No one knows him pre the last few years!! Now at Scarborough very close to Whitby!!! Need i say more

He's a bastard vampire! Not just any vampire, the count himself.

If you were a 21st century vampire, a seducer of women, that's exactly the look you'd go for.
