Newport accent is like Cardiff but with a few west country bits in it - go to Chepstow area and it's like listening to Frank Hennessy doing an impression of the Wurzels.

Defo a Newport lad, from the renown area of Pill - a bit like Splott mixed with Ely and Butetown but rougher.

I didn't realise but he is 4 years younger than me. must have had a hard life.

I might even have played against him in Newport and District. If he came up through the Pill YMCA ranks (as most promising Pill youngsters did) they always gave them games against adult sides to toughen them up a bit. Mind you their youngsters were so bloody quick that pedestrian defenders like me only caught up with them twice - half time and full time.

    Ref: Late tackle number 5.

Me: Got there as soon as I could ref!!!
