I expect an FA 'independent' panel into Suarez's reckless use of the back of his knee into Mirallas's studs. Doubtless they can call that honest chap Evra as a witness.

Dowd clearly bottled the decsion and took the easy yellow route. Annoyingly, this not only means he got away with it on the pitch, he also escapes retrospective action too.

i thought they could do something now they had changed the rules, or that not apply here.

isnt it if the ref missed a challenge and player didn't get punished during game as well as the punishment didn't befit the crime so can still punish after game?

I think they change it for extreme circumstances but they won't change this one, it'll stay a yellow.

I meant the suarez tackle on miralles that was mentioned on the BBC text

It was a fair tackle and Miralles landed on him. The studs caught Luis but it was just part of the fall, no intent.

Still not seen can someone post a vid?

Ive only seen the goals in terms of highlights as I listened on the radio

Would usually have gone to the put but was out lastnight so didnt want to start drinking at dinner

I think Dowd might have sent him off if it wasn't for that scruffy twat of a physio shouting the odds at him. Our players went ape & Dowd wouldn't have wanted to be seen to have been influenced by a comment from the Liverpool bench

Funny you Tobes <laugh> So now it's our physio's fault eh??? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Not going to moan too much about Dowd because he is one of those refs who tries to keep players on the pitch as often as possible (Carra vs Nanci as one example). Yes it was a **** decision but we've got away with plenty in derbies of recent years so let's just hope we get a "homer" for the Anfield game.

I've not seen it back again but I thought the physio was asking the referee to give him some room. The players were all crowding were Suarez was laid.

Go ahead and throw Rooney vs. Cardiff in this discussion. Lashes out with a clear kick and only a yellow.

You thought wrong.

Barry took exception to him clearly sticking his beak in & grabbed hold of him
