I ain't saying anything, last summer everytime I suggested they make it to lunch or tea for X amount for the loss of Y we lost a wicket...

Arse!

Didn't want the last post before I nod off to be a depressing one!

Oh, well, better wake up to news of us being 300ish for 2 or 3 at worst!

Malinga the slinger <laugh> Mitchell Johnson is bad though too....****ing chuckers they are <grr> <laugh>

I don't watch cricket, never really have done but a mate of mine was mad on it so we played a season with my local side (he still play) over ten years ago. We occasionally watched cricket highlights and this guy used to irritate the hell out of me. There is no way that action should be allowed, may as well let folks just throw the ball like in baseball <doh>

There's the two sides to the argument mate which come out every time he bowls. Yes the ball is tough to locate from a batsmans point of view but conversely it must be difficult to bowl so accurately when you've got the action of a complete and utter loon <laugh>

Played against wasim akram twice in the last couple of years,he plays with Neil fairbrother at grappenhall in the over 40s league.Only bowls off a few paces but is plenty sharp enough

"This is the perfect beauty of test match cricket. We could get them out for less than or around 300 and then fail with the bat. "

That was extracted from a post I made earlier. Too ****ing prophetic for my liking <doh>

Anyway. Neil Fairbrother. I played with Neil, also at Grappenhall. Know him well. Good few years back, I was waiting for my business partner (had my own business back then). He was having a round of golf with clients at Mottram Hall near Wilmslow. We were all sitting outside the clubhouse having a pint, when we heard a buggy toot and my name was shouted. I turned round and it was Neil Harvey sat next to Mike Atherton, then England captain. We went inside a bit later and Neil and Athers ended up joining us. What a top bloke Athers was/is. A few days later, he was off to the Windies on tour.

We're in deep **** and probably now need a miracle to avoid defeat. The ****ing Gabba <doh> But that, my friends (inc MITO) is test cricket for you. You just can't make it up.

I'm going back to sleep, in the vain hope that when I woke up earlier and saw the score it was a bad dream...

Nope, wasn't a nightmare, this **** really happened!
Oh well, time to spin it in a positive light, we'll make 500-odd for 1 in the second innings again.
Johnson is also too ****e to be consistent for both innings of a test match!
