Watched till tea, but couldn't stay a wake any longer. Great day for England. Hopefully we can keep them down to under 300.
I like Michael Clarke, but his interview where he named our starting team for the Gabba was quite weird. Bizarre that the Aussies are so worked up about our team. Usually, they're so confident that they can smash us anyway, without having to look at our side. Great start from England. Mind you, last time at the Gabba, Siddle had us realing and we battled back to claim a draw. Long way to go yet.
He's from New Zealand (Kiwi). He hates the Aussies. A lot. I'm perplexed why that was difficult to understand...
I'm disgusted that the England players have decided to make a game of it and lure the Aussies into a false sense of security. PS what's up with images?? I assume Tigeroo has posted a comedy image but all Im seeing is the Guests cannot blah blah message
Fifth worst first Ashes inning English total of all time, says it all. Appalling performance by England against one of the poorest Australian sides ever. A few arses need kicking here because the stats say they're not fit to lace the England players boots. Major test for Cook's leadership qualities.
Should never judge a test match until both teams have had a turn with the bat. England threw the innings away, credit to Australia but the the bowling wasn't exceptional and with a bit more composure England should still have been batting at the end of play. Sets up a good test match though, unfortunately for the Aussie's there might be rain on its way, now that would be a shame!
For every good day Johnson has, he also has 3 bad dads. At times he's unplayable. This match is far from over. England could easily have Australia all out by lunch. It'll be tough though.
