I want to thank you all for the kind words and wonderful replies to my article. I apologize for coming onto the board so late; work has been immensely busy this week thus far. I really am grateful for the overwhelming response that the article has received on this forum, facebook, twitter, and other sites. When I first wrote the article, never did I imagine that it would garner such an immense response. I simply just thought I would write something to pass the time. But the large amount of support, kind words, and greetings from everywhere has been both surreal and humbling all at once. I never dreamt that it would be so overwhelming. I look forward to the day where I can return to Loftus Road, catch another match, and meet some more of the greatest fans in the world. But until then, COME ON YOU Rss!!
Welcome to the board mate. Great story and well written article. Hope you're not a stranger to the boys and girl on Not606....You'll be welcome at the C&S anytime (I might even buy you a beer )
glad you finally made it Rafa! good to have you on board. you should search for a piece called "this world of R's" which was written by rollerranger. it's about all our stories on the game vs man city. it's brilliant.
Welcome Rafa, we all enjoyed your blog. There is a strong overseas contingent on here and it struck a chord with many of them. As Stainsey said, don't be a stranger.
Welcome Rafa, it's great to see you on the board, and well done for such a great article. It spelled out just what happens when the Hoops get into your blood. Look forward to exchanging views on all things QPR and non-QPR from now on!
Welcome aboard soldier It would be great to see you on here as a regular contributor. Your piece on supporting QPR was excellent, and it encompassed what being a true R is all about.
Welcome Rafa! I have converted many Swedes by bringing them over and what you have written rings true; as soon as they experience LR they are hooked by the atmosphere, passion and camaraderie of the faithful.
Welcome aboard mate, I know how you feel as I do the same the other way except I usually stay up to 3am to watch the flyers. Its tough to do. I posted your story on the flyers board football thread and it went down well.
I am just glad the international break is done and we can all get back to the business on hand! Time to roll on this weekend; COYRs!
My goodness you are all amazing! I am going to be quite drunk if and when I ever make it back haha! I promise you I like to buy as well; nothing more would suit me than treating the best fans in the world with a couple of rounds on me.
I will remind you all I have 5 kids, a mortgage and a crack habit to support ( ok, ok I lied about the last one) . I stand by my offer that if we win the league, drinks are on me down at the C & S first match as champions
Welcome Rafa, your article was just great and the response from the faithfull typifies a big part of being an R, and thats the friendship and cameraderie. We may not be the biggest club in the world, but by god we do have the most amazingly loyal fans, and we all like a beer down at the Crown & Sceptre. And I insist on buying you a pint when you get over. Welcome to not606.
