Can someone tell me why we used to play in tents..? Nowadays, although the styling is questionable, at least the kit fits the player who is wearing it.

Quite. The BBC seem to like using '-ico' to tag onto games, like when they did "Coastico" or whatever it was for the Pompey game.
I think it was that twerp Jake Humphreys who made that up. He thought he was being so slick and clever. And wasn't.
