FORMER RANGERS STAR IN COURT

Former Rangers star Charlie Miller has appeared in court charged with failing to give breath samples to police and urinating in the street.

The 37-year-old was taken to Helen Street police office on November 16 office where he spent the rest of the weekend before being brought to Glasgow's Justice of the Peace Court yesterday.

Miller, from Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, is accused of failing to give the police two breath samples at Helen Street police station.

He also faces a charge of urinating on Woodville Street in Glasgow's Ibrox area.

Miller, represented by defence lawyer John Kilcoyne pled not guilty.

A trial was set for next May and Miller was released on bail.

It was earlier reported Miller had been at the Louden Tavern pub near Ibrox for a fans' meet-and-greet session with Jörg Albertz and Nacho Novo - who were guests of honour at the event.

Professional footballer Miller started with Rangers in 1993 until 1999. During some of that time he was on loan to Leicester City and Watford.

He has also played for Dundee, Norwegian team SK Brann and Australian team Gold Coast United before going to Clyde in February 2011 where he was released from at the end of the season.

I'll bet that was a night of high culture? Multiple rubbers of Bridge, discussions on theology, introspection and philosophy all topped off with a rousing chorus of Beethoven's choral symphony and a snifter of Claret.

Vanguard Bears are disappointed but not surprised that the Scottish Football Association compliance officer, Vincent Lunny, is once again selective in the execution of his duties by failing to cite Celtic FC CEO Peter Lawwell.

Mr Lawwell, in his joint roll of Celtic CEO and member of the SFA Gaming Board, has brought the game into disrepute with his unnecessary and inflammatory remarks and, to date, has failed to offer an apology for his slur against the world’s most successful domestic football club, Rangers FC.

It is the opinion of Vanguard Bears that Mr Lawwell’s position within the SFA is untenable and that he should resign with immediate effect.

The Fanny Bears are back

    Joint Roll Fs <rofl>
