As you know I don't post over here and was reluctant to do so now, but it would be a great shame if not606 were to lose an active club forum such as this through the defection of its' decent members elsewhere. The moderation issue highlights the problem - the members themselves have made it a virtually impossible task to satisfy everyone. No forum is perfect and that certainly includes the Cardiff board that has it's "in your face" contributors as well, but this forum has earned a reputation amongst others for the wrong reasons.
As an aside, I've got no interest in this personal stuff going down between posters - that's a matter of choice and goes way over my head as to why it's needed. It doesn't seem to be a feature at all on the Cardiff board other than the odd difference of opinion over football, and is all the better for it. It may be a harsh pill to swallow guys, but you could learn an awful lot from that.
I note that your new moderator choices have been rejected, though whoever they might eventually be, I doubt they'll cope any better than the the past encumbants if the same sort of stuff goes down on here. There's no doubt the Swansea board has suffered with both the infighting and also as far as the inter-club chat is concerned, with the overly aggressive attitude toward visiting posters. Posters will need to change their attitudes to one another (or leave for pastures new) before internal moderation will work - the external stuff with other club posters is easy by comparison.
If you didn't want to chat and have a laugh with Cardiff posters over here, then fair enough because you've gone the right way about it in the past. The fact remains that the only place up till now that Cardiff/Swansea posters can interact and build up any rapport is the Cardiff board. I'm not trying to say anything other than to call it as it is.
Those that come over at present for the craic are more than welcome to continue - I wont name them as they're well known to all. It would be a great pity if some others over here didn't bury the hatchet and join them and perhaps we can reciprocate. You have no need to like Cardiff as a club as we've been told often enough that many don't - we'd rather have some sharp banter with honesty. Tongue in cheek stuff should be recognised for what it is, not savaged with hate.
Once again, I'll probably be told by some it's got fck all to do with me or anyone else - that seems to be one of the biggest problems for this club which exists within an open forum for all. If some want a Swansea only forum, they're on the wrong site.
Sorry for the length of this post, but I tried to get it all in one go as I don't intend to post again (short term anyway).
