Spot on Safc !!!! This Bridcutt lad is the one all the Seagulls fans are ****tin themselves over. He is apparently highly thought of, easily EPL standard and the worst kept secret in West Sussex is that hes on his way to us in the Jan window

Gerrin! I think gus will have dosh to spend, i would like to see ki's loan made permanent, still undecided on celutska but i do like him.

Lb is still a priority imo, see sissokho is ripping up trees at liverpool :emoticon-0105-wink:

I don't really want to undermine anything from yesterday. However, if you watch the game again it really shows Johnson up as the weak link, he can't beat a man and when Navas came on he beat him very easily and Bardsley had to come to his rescue (johnson's). I think we just need a better all round player than Johnson (a poor man's Andy Welch).

Well you have. You moaning little piece of work. Not one of those lads let us down yesterday and no real fan worth their salt would criticize any performance yesterday. Navas is a world class player he was doubled up on which is why bardsley could deal with him. That's thanks to the work of Johnson and Colback when he moved out Left. Had bardsley had to deal with him alone then Navas would have torn him a new arsehole. Did you actually watch the game? Do you actually realise what Navas is capable of? If so you'd realise Poyet saw the threat and stationed Bard, Johnson and then colback to deal with him to great effect. Navas can beat most players comfortably.

Bridcutt would be a great signing for you, we (Hull) played against him last year and he was their best player by a mile. I think he'd be in demand though.

Yes i did watch the game and totally disagree with you Navas went past Johnson like he was standing still and Bardsley rescued him time after time. Johnson contributes very little either in attack or defence. He will end up in the championship next season.

NMG if you actually watched it, you would realise Johnson was moved to the right and Colback moved to the left to help cover Bardo with the threat of Navas... Colback and Bardo ended up doing quite a good job and Johnson had a very good game, attacking both wings and causing problems for their defence

Maybe you should actually praise the team players rather than be a d*ck and criticise everything

Hopefully not with Sunderland , still a long battle ahead. However, Johnson could do a good job for a team like Barnsley or Yeovil at his level.

Exactly moved because he is the weak link.

No...because he is not a defensive player...this is a well known fact...

hence Poyet seen this, decided to utilise his players and move Colback to cover Navas and change the wing Johnson was on to utilise his strengths which are attacking...not defending...

Do you have any idea of strategy/tactics in football?

Yes Johnson's defensive frailties were there for all to see with a very good winger in Navas and against a full back like Zabaletta, although I do believe he actually headed the ball twice during the game he normally ducks, however in attacking terms he was quite good. Can he become a more modern wing-back and perform defensive duties (Milner was the lad we should have got from Chitty) and not just a winger up front which for a low-mid table team like us is a luxury we cannot afford, Jack had to move left to cover Navas and Poyet had to take Johnson off (and ffs Gardner came on in midfield).

Poyet seems quite aware tactically imho it bodes well

presuming we can keep ahold of Ki and Celutska

a CB if diakite and Roberge ain 't gonna make the grade, Wes won't stay fit
a lb as dossena is unlikely to make the grade
    sell Ji, get another striker

We just need quality, we have got loads of decent squad players. Danny Rose at LB would make a massive difference for instance.

I personally still think we need a goal scoring creative midfielder or attacking goal scoring winger.

Whatever we need quality not numbers.

Johnson is poor both defensively and poor in attack. Probably the most over rated player there has ever been. On a par with mclean ability wise.

Will Gus go if he doesnt get any money?

Like LiV said just quality req'd. Rose, JC & Ki would do me. Sufficient to keep us up and more quality come the summer.

Hence our most creative player this season...should check the stats dear boy

Overrated? laughable argument... Refer you to O'Shea, Ramires, Ashley Young etc etc... McClean wasnt that bad in terms of ability, just had such a good run of form we expected that constantly from him when in reality to keep that form was never going to happen...obviously the amount of people having a go at him for his religious beliefs etc didnt help either...

Well maybe not religious beliefs, sorry for bringing that up. But his actual beliefs...obviously he doesnt want to wear a poppy due to family reasons or reasons of his own.

The stories that came out about you could understand his reasons if there was any truth to them
