beginning to agree with you Hilts, we have been poor in defence especially conceding 3 late goals in the last four games (I think)

At least you can take solace in the fact that when you do get your act together you will start to climb the ladder. I don't think we can do much better than we are at the moment. Still, I have high hopes for Corny and perhaps a sneaky loan or two in January.

Thing is this Swansea team of late has been poor, many of us are the first to admit that, but most of us can see its not so much a poor team, but a team with a lack of tempo, which when upped we have proven we can take on any team. Granted we may not always win, but we are a team that can play. I admit that I was devastated that we didn't up the tempo in the derby, as that for me was to be our catalyst to get us going again, instead they were a disappointment.

But what we Swans fans have to realise, is we have been playing poorly of late, the poorest we have for a long time, yet our points/game ratio in those last 22 games, you know, that poor run of ours, is borderline relegation/survival (based on previous seasons - 0.95 per game = 36 points). We are 13th in the league, above Cardiff (sorry couldn't resist that one lads :p) are 2nd in our Euro group, even after two silly late equalisers in our last two games. If this is a Swansea City that's playing poor, then with all due respect to other teams, god help them when we get going.

Not to mention that we have played 20 competitive games this season. Compared to Cardiff (sorry using you as this is your forum) have played 13.

So 7 extra games will take it out on our players. Now granted 2 of those were before the Prem season kicked off, but even taking those 2 out of the equation, thats still 18 games compared to 13, whilst your spending more time on the training pitches gelling as a team, whilst we are travelling too. I mean our travelling to 2 away Euro games probably took just as long as all your away games in the Prem :p It all takes its toll. And unfortunately we don't have the same depth as teams like United, and City. Plus its new to us.

So once the Euro fixtures come to an end, or at least settle down, I think we will turn it around, we have some of our most influential players out right now (Michu, Pablo - IMO) we have wingers who are getting used to playing with a striker like Bony, who has scored 10 goals this season in all comps, with pretty crap service. We of course like all bar the top 7, could find ourselves in a relegation fight, but I am pretty confident we won't be there. As I am pretty confident, you won't be either, there are enough worse teams than the pair of us.

A good post Swanselona, but to be fair I actually don't think there are enough worse teams than us. We will stay up by sheer determination alone. It is difficult to do that for a whole season, but based on footballing ability I only feel truly confident there are two teams worse than us. We will have to keep working and getting points where we can without having a bad patch of 5-6 games.
