the gas heads have played in several places. tesco now occupies the eastville stadium. from there the gasheads moved to trumpton stadium in bath the home of bath city. from there they shared bristol rugby clubs memorial ground stadium, now i understand to be the site of a sainsburys. no wonder the gas have a little money to spend.

They're supposedly all going to be air conditioned as well as more swanky features. The final stadium will be an 85,000 seater but the thing that sums it up for is the University Stadium in Doha(I think) will have a capacity of around 45,000, but then it will be downsized to 25,000 and used for the national hockey team! Have they though this through?:undecided:

cannot see rovers in a 85000 airconditioned stadium, unless you are referring to catarrh. when the gasheads played at eastville park the nearby station provided a useful joke
they are closing stapleton road station down, oh why, er rovers need the points

How much do Rovers actually own? They moved in with the rugby club, so do they own any part of the Memorial Ground? Before that they were at Twerton Park as guests of Bath City and I thought they were bumped out of Eastville by the greyhound stadium owners before they went to Bath.

So (a) do they have any money at all and (b) will they own any part of this new stadium or just have a portakabin on the approach road?

i do not think they own anything. yes they moved in with the rugby club and presumably paid rent. i assume money from sainsburys would have gone to the owners of the ground. the clue is where do the rugby club play or where are they moving to. they must have some money somwhere to fire a manager, hire another and allow paul buckle to sign all these players
