Its so weird! On Wednesday morning , the world and his dog were saying we had the greatest squad in the world. Four days later we look like we couldn't beat Accrington Stanley reserves! I suppose you have to suffer an experience like this, to appreciate the highs!

Perhaps you put a bid in for Joe Hart in the window?

Lets get some perspective here lads, one bad day at the office won't win or lose a title and the days when you lost more than three and you were out of it are long gone. <ok>

    agreed.

but this is not Rafa or RDM or AVB we talking about bad day(s) at the office!!

With Jose, can't have bad days against arguable worst CB pair and a team which played 120 mins 3 days ago!

this is very well avoidable and Jose knows it!

Think we do have a great squad, with top cover for most positions, but one or two problems are flashing on red. The Toon result has to be just one of those days surely, not the start of some collapse.

to me if Jose persists with Lamps we would be in trouble, simple as that!
Bison looks way better than Lamps and Bison was awful at times against goons..

call me crazy, but league is between us & manure.

Jose should have got daylight between us and them after 10 instead of 3pts.

us losing early match gives tremendous boost to Maure, city etc.
    that showed on saturday

Goons, Pool, Spuds will fall apart during xmas. very unconvincing from manny & city

Next league game is huge. We need 3points to head off any November collapse.

Wow, the most surprising thing is that the OP hasn't been slaughtered!!
    It's one game FFS!
However ........ for my take here goes ,you do have an issue in holding midfield and with your full backs. I will continue to state until I'm blue in the face that Luiz is the most natural Defensive Midfielder out there. His natural ability to go forward would increase both the pace and space at which your 3 amigos would be employed. And Schurlle is never one of the 3!!!
Mikkel has never offered anything other than a sideways pass and just cant believe how consecutive Managers continue to pick this guy, FFS, even though he's built like a tank he's not even combative!!! Lamps is a legend, can still pop up with vital goals when required but should be used sparingly.
My biggest issue with Mourinho's Chelsea is that it is absolutely clear the fullbacks are there to defend and defend only - I worry for you in the games against the minnows because that is most of the time how to break them down, with additional width.
Rembrandt isn't yor man but definitely Azipicuelta is, I know Ivanovic is very good defensively but offers nothing going forward (apart from corners and free kicks. Cole should be given the freedom to get up the pitch. FFS, you play with 2 holding mids so why not!

As I stated before the Season started - You will win things under Mourinho -100%, but then since 1997 you've won pots under virtally every manager, but, it will come at the price of seeing electric, exiting football which you're team is clearly able to produce. That just isn't in this man's DNA.

Prediction still stands - There are only 2 teams in this League - Man City and Chelsea, so at least that should brighten you up.

And as for the OP - You're a Dick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I would like to see this team employed

    Cech

    Azpi - Ivan - Terry - Bertrand

    Luiz - Ramires

    Oscar - Mata - Hazard

    Schurrle/Torres

Subs: Schwarzer, Cole, Cahill, Lampard, Willian, Schurrle, Eto'o

But under Jose it is already certain that Luiz won't be aloud to play in the centre of the park, where let's face it, he has all the tools to be able to drive us forward with the ball, pick a great pass, score goals and defend decently, plus his mistakes would be less costly with 2 centre backs behind him.

Lamps has been a great servant, and a legendary one at that, but he has no divine right to start, and that goes for every player in the squad.

Also it seems that Ashley Cole is getting a free ride despite his below par performances, Bertrand has not let us down yet, and Azpilicueta has been brilliant when deployed at either full-back position, he gets forward well, can cross decently and gets back to do his actual job.

Ivanovic is a brilliant RB, but he is a great CB too and we seem to be struggling there, and it is not like years gone by when we have had to play him RB for lack of a better or equal replacement, when we have one in Azpilicueta.

Mata is a brilliant playmaker, he may not have the directness of Hazard or Oscar when it comes to going for goal, but he seems to think faster than both of them with regards to seeing the next pass. Ideally with eight other players helping out defensively, Mata's lack of, or should I say less awareness to defend without the ball should not be a problem, he should be given a free role to create and finish teams off, kind of like David Silva is doing for City right now.

The striker issue is still a problem, but for now we have to make do with Torres, for me Eto'o is not up to this level of play, for crying out loud the other rival teams have Van Persie, Rooney, Aguero, Negredo, Sturridge, Suarez and even Giroud scoring goals whilst our players cannot get past the single mark. We signed Eto'o, kept Ba and loaned out Lukaku. Ridiculous business, would have been better grabbing Loic Remy in on a loan deal. But I think this situation will be sorted in January, do not see Jose waiting for next summer, Lewandowski, Diego Costa and Rooney should be on the radar

And the only problem that my preferred team leaves is that Schurrle and Willian, who have done nothing wrong are to be left on the bench and De Bruyne, who started the season so well, probably does not even get a look in.

Not trying to rant here, but put across some of my opinions, that is all they are. Hoping that Jose gets out his own hairdryer and we don't see another lacking performance like Saturday's.

I didn't get slaughtered because I do have a point.
Jose can well and truly wrap this league.
IMHO Manure is still our only challenger for the league!! Manny & City are very unconvincing!

Agree, Luiz is our natural DM & he will never be played in that position by Jose, ever!
For the same reason - Jose will not sit Lamps even though his wheels are off!!

So that is the reason Jose deserved that loss and some if he remains stubborn like this!!

FFS, read post #29! he has detailed my rant with more objective points!

    Thanks for your compliment though!!!!!!!

Chalobah & Kalas would be hell lot better than this Lamps!!

dear oh dear, some Chelsea fans have short memories, 1 loss, away to a team just embarassed at home by their fiercest rivals, and it's the end of the world and Jose doesn't know what he's doing.

For eff sakes this is not another bad day at office, is it?

Jose doesn't deserve this 2-2, he deserved worse than worst!!

With this team, Jose can't be too stubborn for too long!

And Cech is always soft on Crosses and Set pieces after Hunt incident..With all due respect he must go!!
