I think the Hammers game has to be a win or draw because Newcastle is going to be tough, if we don't at least get 4 points out of the next 3 games CH will be gone.

I'm with you on that one !
Jesus if it came to a straight choice, keep Hughton or you've got to take pulis......it's a no brainer, cut up your season ticket !!

I don't know why it has to be so black and white. You either want Hughton in or not. He's probably the only manager to completely split me, one minute I think of the Manchester games and our general record in this calendar year. Than I look at the 10 match unbeaten run and how much our football has improved this season ie. Cardiff, Hull, Southampton.

These next 3 games are make and break for him, I think there are many fans in my position who are on the fence and these games coming up will probably sway them one way or another. I called for an improvement in football this season and we have undeniably seen that, although yet with substance. So if getting rid of Hughton meant Pulis would come in on a short term basis, I wouldn't bother. Lose stability and the improved football by doing that.

Every home game I've been to under Hughton we've won, so in theory if we all chip in and get me a season ticket we will be unstoppable at home. Problem solved ;)

Hull can't keep getting with penalties and sending-offs! I'm sure they'll slip back into the bottom 7 sooner or later, but I think the points they've got already, and the positivity around the club, may well keep them up.

I said nothing about CH. I said "failure to support the team and the board". My point is to do with the importance of unity to the success of a club. People can form their own opinions about anything, the manager included; but when those opinions are given priority over the interests of the club as determined by a very competent CEO and board, you are heading for trouble. When they take priority over giving the team the support they need on match day you are well on the way. <ok>

Ok I can see what your saying, but fundamentally speaking all fans go to support their team, they would like to see them win, even better if they can do that in style. The thing is I know it's not helpful to boo and cheering as Snoddy went off was disgraceful. But it is illustrative of how bad people feel the football has been over a prolonged period. We as fans pay not inconsiderable sums to support our team, and when we don't like it, it is not completely unreasonable to voice your dissatisfaction. Players and the manager know when they've performed poorly and if it's isolated I think that most fans are pretty forgiving (as long as there is evident effort) support is lost and fans get more vociferous with prolonged disappointment. This where we are at. I still wouldn't boo personally I prefer to sing, the old siege mentality. But I can understand the booing, on Saturday had I been there, at the final whistle I may just of joined in, not good enough by half.

    Bah!

if its poor attitude from a fan to want their manager to leave for the sake of the club is it a poor attitude from a different fan to want the manager to stay and drag the club towards relegation?

just trying to understand the judging system as I for one don't feel the need to judge anyone or any other fan

It isn't to do with holding this or that opinion on the manager; it is to do with whether you let your opinion have a negative effect on the team, or try to so change circumstances that those running the club start acting against their own best judgement. What I hope is that DM and the board will show the same resilience and determination as shown by the Arsenal board, who have consistently refused to let fan disgruntlement force them from what they believe firmly to be the best long-term interests of the club. <ok>

i quite clearly state that it's people who aren't prepared to accept hughton, even if results improve, which is very possible. this may as well extend to those who choose to boo the team or subs while a game is going on, thus harming the club. nothing anybody writes on here has that effect

    Another horrendous stat for people...

RvW, Hooper and Elmander have mustered 6 shots on target in the league, all season.
