Surely if we offer them 6m in Jan, given his wages and their league position, they'd snap our hands off?

    36m LOSS!!

I've seen a few of you suggesting that you sign Troy Deeney.

Based on todays performance you'd be better off with a wet flannel.

Fryatt's not a patch on Rhodes. Look at their goal scoring records.

The fact of the matter is that the FFP accounts start from December. If they allow this debt to continue they will be fined as much as they are beyond the 8m watershed for indebtedness. As they are miles away from being a promotion side, they simply cannot afford to let this continue.

Way too expensive for an untried player from the Championship...

I think we'll sign Shane Long but not sure we'll spend that much money for anyone else.

I always thought Troy Deeney was ****, but I was very impressed with him when I saw him last season. I would happily have signed him in't summer. But ive not heard anything about him this season until you've just compared him to a wet flannel. Back to himself then.

We could chuck in TC on a free and write off any add ons we might have for Corry Evans.

Rather spend £5m on Shane Long. A proven PL striker.

No. Hooper wanted to go back down south which he has done.

Long wont cost anywhere near £5m in Jan or next summer.

I would not rule out Rhodes and his Uncle being in tandam once again.

Steve Bruce let slip pre-match that it was not only Samaras he was looking at recently. An Ajax player also was on his view list. No names though.

Financial worries at Wednesday ? No problem, they just have to re-brand. Wednesday Owls it is then.

Shane Long doesn't score many goals,he's more a forward than striker, like Sone Aluko.

I'm pretty sure I had a curry from there once. The Ajax player will have been Finbogasson no doubt. If we're in and around the position we are now, we should be able to get him. I doubt we'll be looking at Samaras, he was awful for Man City.

Has anybody here watched him play? I know about him and know he bangs a few in. But what type of striker is he? Poacher, playmaker, selfish?

Also, isn't Finnbogasson the one who plays for Heerenveen? Sigborsson plays for Ajax?

Yeah you're right, I knew it was some bloke from Iceland though. Finbogasson is clinical, more of a poacher really.

I really hope Brucey was there to watch Viktor Fischer.
