Luiz and Mata start which is bad news for the Newcastle defence but good news for the Newcastle attack.

Take a look at Luiz's reaction from the free kick from Cabaye, its absolutely shocking, taken out of the game the moment the ball left Cabaye's foot, and just stands and watches, if he was marking someone they lost him instantly, as he's stood all on his own on the edge of things when the ball hits the net.

I see that after 60 minutes Chelski are level with Newcastle. I guess the ref mistake in Chelsea's favour, or the mistake by the Newcastle defence will come a bit later. When it does you can be sure that plaudits about how clever Mourinho is will follow from the fawning media.

Oh no! I am soooooo unhappy about being completely wrong!

Seriously, this in no way offsets all the luck they have had so far this season.

Thinking of Brazil 2014, carnival, babes in bikinis! ..... That guy is not a central defender. Rafa has one up on Jose for playing him in his natural position, midfield.

Wouldn't surprise me if Jose is trying to prove Rafa wrong.

I was going to ask has Chelsea's luck run out and are we going to see them in their true colours, only time will tell. It was always a banana skin this match. Newcastle have always been a strange team when one day they can beat the top then next match lose to the bottom. Well done Geordies, well Newcastle anyway, i don't think there's a Geordie in the team anymore is there?

I see Remy scored again, Levy should have let Redknapp sign him a couple of seasons back.

If you do play him at centre back you have to play like Brazil, pushing further up the pitch and allowing him to win the ball early with other players slotting into the centre back position as he's given license to go forward and stay there for periods of the game.

It was a strange line up from Jose as he went with the Hazard, Oscar, Mata partnership that he broke up at the start of the season as he looked for Chelsea to be more of a direct side with Schurrle often preferred. Given that they thought Jose tactically outclassed AVB by changing the say the game in the second half, I guess they've got to say the same about Jose being outclassed by Pardew. Regardless, our draw against Chelsea is looking a bit more disappointing now so far Jose has come up wanting against Everton and Newcastle when he's tried to find away to break them down.

Okay no more digs at Chelsea and Jose <whistle>

I'm torn, it would be very easy to take the pee here, but we've got an iffy away game tomorrow aswell....or do I make the most of 24hrs. :emoticon-0112-wonde

I decided to go for it :D

They can't wum us for losing because they lost there which apparently means it's the hardest place to win at and with our midtable first 11 we've got no chance.

Alan Hansen, is that you?!

Newcastle were due a home win, hadn't noticed they hadn't since August! funny how often its these games that end bad runs, the ones you least expect. No-one gave us a prayer against L'pool when harry took over and Pav nicked a result for us. Newcastle played better though in this game, thoroughly deserved it.

But talking of line ups, didn't Newcastle play 442? Was reading an article on how 442 is making a comeback, A Madrid plays 442 and they are doing great.

Sometimes it's good to have a formation where every player knows his role without complicating instructions , under Redknapp the only difference between 442 and 4411 was Vdv played deeper, but wasn't far off a 442.

Newcastle are a bit of a Jeckyll and Hyde these days, sometimes they'll just gift you goals and other times they'll make it very tough for you and play some great football too.

The bookies have had a good start to the day. Chelsea lose a game that'll write off various coupons and a keeper is first goalscorer against the side with the 2nd best defensive record in Europe.
