Criticising the team effort and defending on Tuesday night publicly (BBC ) Was he not at the heart of the defence and as captain could he not insire them when we eased off

Do the others appear to respect him and his position?

I think he is entitled to make comments like this - I get no sense that he is not liked in the team but he doesn't seem to speak up often

First I've heard of this but...
I agree with Ryan, it wasn't him and Huth who eased off on Tuesday night. It was our midfield dropping too deep, giving the ball away. And partly the fault of Hughes for not playing the correct subs. He is our Captain and as such, he is supposed to speak out and or criticise IMO. <ok> I hope he does it more often but ON the pitch, not off it. It's too late after the horse has bolted. Let's hope the whole SQUAD and HUGHES have realised what they did vs Birmingham before Sat's game.

Well said Potts, if the captain can't say anything then there's no point being captain, could do with being more vocal all round, the game is moving faster and the players need to respond to that.

I agree guys my ponit was that IMO it should be on the pitch and or in the changing room not in the media especially when he is general in his criticsm which therefore includes albeit not inentionally some who were not responsible
