Always get grandpops a bottle of the sipping stuff for xmas, cheers, hope he likes it Btw fatha, if your reading this santa drops it off at our house ok
Cheers mate. So what makes the chapter 6 stand out and worth that very high premium for a 3 year old. It isn't even a full litre. I don't like perfumy or flowery tasting whiskies. I love the age verification pop up. Like having to click yes or no is really going to stop an under 18 year old.. hahaha
Will do DD. 90/100 in my whisky bible. Apparently the guy who makes it is Laphroaigs former manager so good provenance! 3 weeks to go. . . Cheers mate
I hate Laphroiag with a passion, I have mentioned this on here before. Tastes like cough medicine to me. The daft thing is if I know I'm really going to have a drink and not just the odd glass. I love Bushmills, I can drink it till it comes out of my lugs.
Nice one MR. Good thing about whisky is there's one for everyone. Can't take the Irish whisky myself but that is proper drinking stuff! Love a few pints turning into a few drams and onwards on a winters night with the lads. Work and whisky is what winter's about
It's quite spirity, certainly not perfumy or flowery. I'm no massive expert and smoking since I was 11 means my palet isn't all that great in terms of describing any tastes. Gun to my head I'd say it's quite woody/light. If I'm honest I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had but I really enjoyed it and would certainly get it again as it offers something very different to smoky scotches. You obviously pay a premium as opening up a distillery in this day and age costs an utter packet and they can't release anything for the first three years/release anything properly aged for a decade! The fact that it's English is, as I've mentioned, something I really like. The water in Norfolk is supposedly better for whiskey making than way up north. Also helps that all the distillery hands have extra fingers...

Had the Balvenie very nice and the Talisker, I think the last Talisker I had was a bottle a poster on here bought for me. Well him and my daughter. And no it wasn't ACS's Da! DD I'm surprised you think smoking has damaged your palette no one in the World smokes more than me and I'm pretty sure my palette is fine. Some of the curriies I like should have ripped out any taste buds I had, yet they all still seem fine!
I presume it's the smoking mate. I could eat a cork coaster thinking it's a ****ing hobnob unfortunately.
Bloody hell. I would go as to say I'm even picky over my Indian curries. I love the subtle flavours in a good curry, not just heat. I have noticed lately a lot of curries up here are just heat and no flavour. I can highly recommend SPICE 1 mind, they are still turning out very tasty curries.
Palliion, we've been using desi taste at leechmere lately, yummy, they do a 10 course friday special which i've now decided we are having tonight £12 its a snip
