Heh, Holloway needs to stop producing miracle promotions...they're bad for one's job security.

Put £10 on at 80-1 for a tricast of Palace, Sunderland and Stoke to go down pre season. Down to 13/2 for the 3 now.

Two out of 3 looking good. Not sure about Stoke but still a great bet.

Norwich fans getting very twitchy on their Board. I still think they will be OK and I've just seen that Vaz Te has dislocated his shoulder again for West Spam so a real striker shortage for Fat Sam.

They always panic, same last season. Our odds at 3/1 are exactly the same as on the opening day.How the hell we came to beat you though is as big a mystery as how we failed to beat Cardiff.

Yes, thank heavens for that, man (or woman) named after a stupendously ripped, rapey, and dead fantasy character. They probably threw my CV in the bin.

Yes, possibly jumped the gun by presuming we would be in a position where there wouldn’t be a viable alternative goal, such as a UEFA spot, and for that I defer to your criticism. But it’s an equally big ask to presume we are in with a shout, given the games that will happen between now and the end of the season. You can’t deny that dialling down the intensity slightly is amongst a number of possible outcomes, though, regardless of our intent. I know we have a supreme amount of belief in amongst our squad and staff, and know, that aligned with the levels of talent we have in our playing staff, we have a great chance of achieving something amazing. I do struggle on occasion to see how it is possible to displace a top six of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester clubs, Liverpool, and Spurs, though. Drop behind that pack by more than three points at any stage, and I am just expressing concern about how the safe points mark might affect players’ psychology. Yes, I hope our immense belief, positive messaging, and steady and ambitious club management do the job, as they look like doing now, but there is no accounting for the psychology of safety and its effect on a team, depending on their league position. If we have a shout for top five, then we certainly will be able to keep that going; but if we have picked up injuries and have been on the wrong side of a few ref decisions against top four clubs, and dropped off the pace a bit, could have a different effect. I am a believer, and almost always live in the now (I just can’t believe we won’t continue like this forever, and the hype that comes out of my mouth to others about this team is heavy), but I do on occasion look ahead and allow dollops of realism cloud my view.

What you say for Saints could be true of any team. In my opinion, what won't be allowed is a drop off in performance levels after sufficient points have been gained to survive relegation. This isn't the same football club that we grew up with, and we have to start thinking differently too. Dollops of realism, as you put it, I would suggest are based on past experiences and let downs by a club that doesn't exist anymore. This iteration may well fail in their dream this season, but they will have shot far higher than many of us would have expected.

Agree with TSS. The old Saints would have drawn or lost to Fulham. This lot pulverised them. We have to start thinking the NC way. BIG!

Yes, I agree too, but we are all human, and old habits die hard. I am yet to be convinced that MP has sorted our issue against teams who look to stifle us. Guess the next two games will tell us whether he has or not!

Mustn't jump to conclusions if we lose the odd game...we are low scoring and could easily play well and lose by the odd goal. Other teams know the strategy to exploit the weakness in our style...we may meet one that can actually do it. However, I still think we will be in a good league position in May.

Essentially, ManU managed it with their goal. However, it was a very close offside call, and ManU only scored at the rebound attempt, and even then Lovren nearly kept it out.

It seems that teams don't have the vision of a JWP to exploit it. :)

I agree, Fulham didn't look to stifle us, they just didn't look to do anything.

Did well with 9 men. Don't know if the red cards count in cup?
