I can't even comprehend how ridiculous he must have looked. Didn't Prozzie get on? Joking aside, he's a better player.
To be honest whether SB has used the excuse of injuries or whether players really were injured I think he tactically rested a few players at Spurs. Against Sunderland I'm sure we will have Aluko, Brady and Faye back as well as Livermore. Meyler, McShane, Bruce, Boyd and Prozzy will be vying for the bench and Mclean will be peeling the half time oranges.
Just like Bruce, McShane and others he did his best when he came on. What more can we ask for? He's not up to the standards we need but if we've got injuries and he's the best we can throw on then we should support him. Just like with Bruce (again) he's not as terrible as we're making out.
Pro got on as well. McLean didnt look bad, he ran his heart out like he always does. They both earned to feature once for us in the PL after being with us last season as far as I am concerned. Maybe it added some sell on value to the both of them.
The reserve defence did really well. Only conceding through a dubious decision. When I saw Bruce and McShane on the teamsheet I feared the worst. I was very wrong. Apologies to those two!
I was a bit shocked to see Robert Koren and Aaron McLean on the bench. How bad are our reserves/youth players that we were struggling to fill a bench? I didn't think youth players had to be registered so, what's the problem with putting them in the squad? Would we genuinely have had 5 subs if we couldn't fill the bench?
Is Koren available for a cheeky loan? Wouldn't mind him for a few months, we've got a tough 10 games or so (I think we play everyone in the current top 6) and his experience would be handy.
Everyone was shocked because we didn't expect to see him for another few weeks. He's just come back to training after suffering a broken foot
He was picked for every game until his injury I believe and he's only just got back in the squad. I don't think he'd be available.
If he's 100% fit, he'll be in our first team, so I doubt it. You missed a trick not getting Joe Dudgeon in, he's a top larker and he needs game time having come back from injury. He's better than Konchesky...
Aye, did really well until his injury last season. Isn't he injured now? Because he was supposed to go to Barnsley wasn't he?
His knee isn't right apparently, and they didn't want to send him out on loan until it's fully sorted.
