Yeah good, keep it that way. I like to pretend it's not canon to keep me happy. Refresh my memory, is XV bringing turn-based battles back?

No :( but it looks fun anyway. I don't expect a return to the awesomeness of VII through IX, but if you don't compare it to its superior predecessors it looks like a good game in its own right. And considering they'll have spent a good ten years developing it, it will surely have the length, depth and difficulty that you expect from a Final Fantasy game. I'm fed up of buying games that I can complete in a weekend.

Yeah I've heard that. If PS4 games aren't going to be held back by the XBox One's inferior specs, then that could be the best thing about the console.

Yep. I can't believe how they went for all the tv crap, 90% of it doesn't work over here. They tried doing deals with Sky then Virgin but got turned down both times.

I still see nothing that makes the XB1 better than the PS4 other than the thumb stick position.

Even Ryse is now 720p. That actually looked a good game but it got downgraded.

I've never done that :( I'm going through the Mass Effect games again before the PS4 comes out. I didn't ever play most of the DLCs so my time is now!

I don't like video games. Does that make me less of a man?

No. If anything it makes you more of a man, especially if you're doing real things like being off adventuring, rather than being sat on your arse for an hour of two's pleasure. If you're sat on the sofa bogging some inane rubbish on the one-eyed lodger, then you'd probably be better playing a video game. At least that is interactive. :)

I'm alternating. I have a campaign going with the House of Julii which I'm taking slowly, not skipping any battles, and paying attention to the little details that make a difference in the long run. I had one going with Scipii before and my empire stretched from Spain to Damascus, but the Senate got pissed off with my actions and kept demanding the suicide of my faction leader. Eventually I refused so they decided they would destroy me instead. Rome and Brutii kicked my arse and I got annoyed with the game.

Origin is EA's horrible Steam clone, and ME3 and its DLC is Origin-exclusive for PC. Guessing it's not a problem for consoles, but I haven't had one since the N64, so yeah.

I should like to do something more adventurous. But work has been tiring this week and so all I've done this evening is go for a run and make dinner. I'll make a concerted effort to get out and do something tomorrow though. Too easy to get caught up watching football all day. Maybe I'll go chop down a tree just to make sure I definitely am manly. Then proceed to plant 5 new trees because I actually like trees and they're quite useful too.

I've managed to remove my feelings of doing nothing with my life by joining a sports team. Now I can use that as evidence for actually doing something with my free time, and I also manage to convince myself that my aches and pains are a valid excuse when I want to stay in.
