    Old news.

Actually, that has sparked a memory. There is a fish in the Bay of California [maybe related] which makes a hum during the night hours. Waterside residents were being driven mad by it. Not sure how they got round the problem, because the sound was of such a low frequency that ear defenders couldn't block it.

Tbh the people posting the stuff on Neogaf haven't made up stuff yet so wouldn't be shocked. Glad I pre-ordered a PS4 now.

According to a lot of testers the PS4 controller is better the the Xbox One.

I'll just be ridiculously unfamiliar with the left thumbstick.

So far, FIFA, Madden and Watch Dogs, but with Watch Dogs being pushed back I'm gonna have to get different non-sports games. I'll probably get CoD because I still enjoy the Activision ones, got any other recommendations?

Killzone ShadowFall would be the only other launch game I'd say to get. They have changed it a hell of a lot from the last ones. Oh and the graphics are probably the best you will see until Watch Dogs. I have pre-order, FIFA,BF4 and obviously Killzone.

I think there's an Amazon bundle with Killzone so I might look into it... I know everyone is creaming over The Division but I don't think that's out for a while.

Yeah heard near next Xmas. It did look amazing but I don't want to hype over something that is ages away. I have pre-ordered the Killzone bundle. <ok>

Are you not getting the one with Killzone and FIFA? I've just worked it out - if I want Killzone I'll do it (I'll watch some stuff on it over the next few days). If you go...

    PS4: 350
    FIFA: 47
    Killzone: 49

Then you've got £446 - the bundle is £470 but it comes with another controller (55 which is ridiculous, but I'm gonna need it) which makes the individual value £501 so worth the bundle price. Plus, the PS4 camera which I don't really want but retails at £55 anyway so it's more savings.

I'm getting the killzone bundle off Game with BF4 and FIFA. Also getting a second controller and the official double controller charger and stand. Would have cost me £598 but I have £80 on my Game exchange card from years ago so used that. I never buy games from Game so thought I'd use it up.

I think I can hear those bloody humming midshipman / toadfish..!

Apparently, they sound like a low droning electrical motor, and that's exactly what I can hear [by the way, my PC is silent]. It's not loud, but I can definitely hear something. What's incredible is that I live in the north of the city, well away from both the Test and the Itchen.

    Perhaps it's a droning electric motor. :)

Beefy's efforts to find a chummy coterie of like minded opinion fell on stony ground. Yes, we've all seen enough news of that poor young girl's disappearance, and the heartache that her parents must go through, pretty much every day.

We want to see news of her return.

That's as nice as I can make my response to Beefy's initial enquiry. And please Beef, don't tell me you were joking this time. It's a poor subject to pick to be light about.
