The highlighted bit is pointing out the absurdity of saying player A is miles ahead and player B is just behind . Not many are denying Ramsey is playing really well.
I personally haven't got a clue what he's talking about. He either thinks one is playing much better than the other or they're performing at similar levels, not both. He couldn't have come up with a more contradictory statement if he tried, so perhaps if he doesn't want to be ridiculed he should put a little more thought into what he's actually saying, it's not a huge amount to ask DL I'd love to know what meaning you think is so abundantly clear to everyone from what he said.

I thought his decision to sign Bent to play alongside Berbatov was a strange one as they're both lazy and like to do their own thing. He's a great character to have in the league though, I heard on Soccer Saturday a few weeks ago that his response to a question about the boos and calls for him to be sacked was along the lines of "It's very difficult because I can't tell them to meet me in the car park afterwards so we can sort out our differences"
