ref was fair I thought. a lot of our challenges were rash. he missed bridges shocker.. but overall he did ok
Agree mate. Some good results for us today. Just need Man City to beat West Ham. Certainly not too disappointed, and a lot of positives. We had a go, but there's nowt wrong with losing in a tight encounter to a team like Everton.
They said on the TV that Graham was taken to the hospital for Knee scans. They said it didnt sound good.
Disappointed not to get any points from that. We should have scored from at least one of our corners and we were crossing well. We didn't have much through the middle as we don't have a creative player in a central position. Brady, Aluko and Huddlestone played below their levels whilst Davies and Livermore were brilliant once again. Didn't think Everton were that impressive and we were the better team first half, but in the second half they were on top as we played for the draw. Poor refereeing helped them, Barry could have been sent off twice with his tackles on Graham and Aluko and he was completely offside for their goal whether he touched it or not. Then late on the ref gave so many stupid free kicks and if Kone had scored it would have been another offside goal. Sagbo finished brilliantly, and thankfully it means we can drop Graham without really damaging his confidence.
Missed the game as at work but I'd thought 2-1 to Everton today. Good that Sagbo is off the mark though and it sounds like we gave a reasonable account of ourselves. And it appears we are keeping level headed unlike some Man Utd fans who appear to be calling for Moyes' head. On BBC Sport website some bloke has suggested (via Twitter) that they should bring in one of the 'old guards', either Steve Bruce or Ole Gunnar Solskaer. Erm, I think not! Is worth a look at some of the Man Utd fans Tweets though. Quite amusing. Up the Tigers!
Disappointing loss as we gave up two goals on a GK error and a missed coverage. We could have had 3 in the first half if Faye had put away the headers he was scoring from last season. Thought we played far too deep in the second half (playing for a draw?). Referee (Swarbrick) was atrocious as usual. Totally swayed by the home crowd. Sagbo made a big difference when he came on and his goal was brilliant...strong in the air too. Doubt we'll see Graham in a City shirt again if his injury is as bad as it looked. Gedo will be a strong replacement. Davies totally outclassed Jagielka today. Is there a better England CH out there? Roy has to select him. Faye is going to be difficult to dislodge. Had the dangerous Lukaku in his back pocket.
oy, leeds wum, a lot of the everton challenges were rash. maybe due to wet ground. there was one from sagbo that the co-commentator was hyping up but you could see sagbo take his leading foot away to avoid contact with jagielka despite the co-commentator claiming it was an out of control challenge.
Not a bad performance - we weren't at the races as much in the second half. If we'd have played the seco d half as we did the first I think we'd have possibly won the game. The ref was largely inconsistent - numerous Everton challenges going unpunished while little niggles by us were being punished. No harm in going to Everton away and coming away feeling as though a draw might have been a fair result. One of 2 Faye headers, an Aluko header, a Barry red card and an offside goal difference and the outcome could have been a lot different.
I wonder if barry got a slight touch since the keeper was frozen? Barry - been injuring Hull City players since 2008
Sorry I find this comment bloody crass. If Graham has ruptured his cruciate that could be his season over or worse. The guy will be gutted.
Teams don't seem to put a centre back up front for the last 5 mins looking for knock ons anymore. Agree with most of what has been posted but we had no plan for the last 10 mins to push for an equaliser. Howard made no saves. That tells the story
I get what the guy meant. Graham was undropable as without scoring his confidence was shattered. Dropping him would have dented it further. Sometimes people just think too much about hidden agendas!
Bruce actually said Graham was taken to hospital for an xray which showed there was no break. They will have to wait a day or two for the swelling to go down before they can scan the knee for ligament damage. It's too early to say whether it's good or bad.
