So you have the daggers in the quarter finals of the JPT. Have just read that your chairman has said that if you get a crowd of 8000 + against Shrewsbury, he will let everybody in for £4. Is that possible or is he safe?
Our average so far this season is a little over 7,000 - the only game we have exceeded 8,000 so far was against MK. The average Home attendance is around 6,300, I cannot see Shrewsbury bringing more than 500 and, with no disrespect to Shrewsbury, they are not a 'crowd-pulling' attraction. To expect an increase in the Home attendance of 20-25% for this game is a big ask, so I think Darragh is safe on this one though I would love to be proved wrong. For the last round of the JPT tickets were priced at £5 and led to over 5,000 fans attending, almost double the usual amount for an early round of the JPT. Many of those that came were new to Posh so it seems a good strategy for increasing the fan base.
Talking of turnstiles Maestro, do you have the same problem at Carrow Road - I am sure the turnstiles at London Road get smaller every year, or is there another cause I wonder...?
