A lot of it has been redeveloped with new council/private own housing. Still wouldn't want to live there. Too near Muirhouse and Pilton.

I know both fairly well and would include neither.Both have grotty parts but also excellent features to them.My own view is that virtually every town down the East Coast from Hull to Hastings is f***ed.The result of slum landlords and their Tory chums turning them into Bronx replicas.
I'll give you Hull, but i'm afraid I can't allow Newcastle or Liverpool to slide. Both ****holes full of dog rapists and child killers. Few ugly buildings too.
We've had this exact same thread quoting the exact same ****ty list in the last week Anyone that calls London a ****hole doesn't realise that their 'hatred' of the place is just jealously. So much to be jealous of, I guess. The fact that being British puts you in a minority is certainly something I wish was across the UK, about time we got rid of that pesky "british-ness" once and for all. The Massively Overcrowded Sweatbox (Underground). Litter/crime/homelessness. Elephant & Castle, Kings Cross, Lambeth, then The East End (Endz) - you've got crime run places like Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, and within them the sub districts: Canning Town Plaistow Forest Gate Walthamstow Stratford Poplar Mile End Whitechapel Hackney Central Stoke Newington Hackney Wick B-e-a-yootiful place, that London. But it's a City. If you're above it and know where to go, fair play you'll enjoy it. But for average joe there's considerablly more to dislike than like.
London is where the world squatted to take the largest **** in history. If there are few pieces of shiny yellow corn in said ****e then that's just happenstance.
